Franchise to Include Multiple 2-Hour Original Movies; First Film, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas,” Premieres November 23
Crown Media Family Networks announced today that Hallmark Channel original weekly scripted series, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” executive produced and written by Martha Williamson (Executive Producer of “Touched by an Angel”), will move to sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as a movie franchise consisting of a series of two-hour original films. Debuting on November 23 at 9pm ET/PT, 8C, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas” will be the first movie in the franchise, with three more slated for 2015.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Martha Williamson and to bring her brand of rich and poignant stories to viewers on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries,” said Michelle Vicary, executive vice president, programming and network publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “At their core, the narratives on ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ revolve around mystery and suspense, with compelling characters and dramatic storylines that will be enhanced by an extended format.”
“When Bill Abbott and Michelle Vicary asked if I can evolve the ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ franchise into a series of movies, I was honored to continue the Hallmark tradition of quality family movies,” said series Creator and Executive Producer Martha Williamson. “At the heart of ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ is Oliver, a modern day gentleman with old world values played brilliantly by Eric Mabius,” she added. “He and his wonderful team of postal detectives will continue to surprise us and sometimes make us laugh as they work to solve mysteries behind letters, even mysteries of life.”
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will introduce viewers to the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise by airing a marathon of the series on Saturday, October 11 from 11am – 11pm ET/PT, 10C.
Returning as the “POstables,” Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius, “Ugly Betty”), Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth, “Orphan Black”), Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe, “Smallville”) and Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson “Primeval: New World”) will take millions of viewers on new adventures as they uncover the mysteries of lost missives and return them to their intended recipients, profoundly changing lives in the process.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a comedic drama that follows the lives of a group of postal workers who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow on time.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”) and Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer.

Murray Responsibility in Television Award, the Templeton Prize Epiphany Award and nine Emmy(R) nominations.
What do you think? Is this a good move? Would you prefer that it continue as a weekly series or are you okay with a series of movies instead?
very disappointed with hallmark. one if the few shows we watched regularly now we can’t cause we don’t get that channel.
I just saw a commercial that’s the sign sealed and delivered Christmas movie will be on the Hallmark Channel in a few days please check back so you won’t miss it.so it will be on the regular Hallmark Channel and the movie was excellent good luck.
I also hope they will return it as a weekly series is one of my favorites too.
Have watched Signed, Sealed, Deivered for Christmas over and over since it first aired. Also bought the first season because it could not be streamed anywhere. This is the best series and movie I have seen in the last 20 years. I wish you would renew the series and make movies too. This is a real winner. Please give us more.
We have watched signed sealed and delivered Christmas over and over again. Its a beautiful story, the characters are wonderful. We enjoyed. The weekly series very much.
Please continue making these beautiful family films either as a series or in movie form.
I am SOO disappointed – I’ve been waiting for this show to return since the season finale last year!!!!! This show is WAY BETTER than When Calls the Heart!!! What are you people thinking?? I don’t get the other Hallmark Channel, so I won’t be able to even follow the movies.
-NOT HAPPY. 🙁
I loved this show and have been checking back regularly to see when it was coming back on! I am extremely upset by this move. I don’t even get that other channel. Why do stations keep taking the good shows and leaving the stupid ones??
Disappointing. Quality program that our family enjoyed together. Bad move Hallmark.
I loved this show!! Can’t believe they are doing this !! This was a beautiful show that people loved to watch every week. What a great message. Now they are taking it and moving it somewhere that most people don’t even get the channel. Horribly disappointed in this decision. Shouldn’t be surprised. They leave the stupid shows and take the fabulous one. Bad move… very bad move…. I’m in my early 40’s and most of my friends who watch it are also.
It is disturbing to see,Many decent quality family show series end. This show touched us and many ways.Leaving viewers few choices to watch, there are many violence/profanity series not family friendly which continue weekly. This is evidence more to how corrupt our society is becoming.shows that have quality and integrity should be given these series spots.
I loved this show. I couldn’t wait for the Christmas movie and had to actually order the Hallmark movie channel to watch it, must to my husband’s chargin. I will watch the movies, but I would have preferred the movies along with the weekly show. It was one of my favorite shows last year. If the could renew the Cedar Cove show which I have never made through a whole episode, I don’t see how they couldn’t have renewed Signed, Sealed and Delivered. I am for one, very disappointed.
I’m extremely disappointed that Signed, Sealed & Delivered is not on the Hallmark Channel as a weekly series. I don’t have a problem if they want to make multiple movies instead of weekly series, but then show it on the Hallmark Channel. Don’t take it off the channel that it was introduced on and move it to the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel. Don’t you realize that not all cable providers offer both the Hallmark Channel and the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel?! Very frustrated. Wondering if I want to bother watching any of the series on the Hallmark Channel.… Read more »
I have really enjoyed the series Signed, Sealed, Delivered and am disappointed that it will not be returning to the Hallmark channel. I hope Hallmark will reconsider this decision.
We have really enjoyed the first season of this show. Extremely disappointed it will be no longer be shown on the regular Hallmark channel, as a weekly series, which we receive at Directv. You have moved it to the movie channel which costs us extra. Sorry but even though we love the show we don’t feel paying extra is fair to us.
I love the series Signed, Sealed and Delivered. I was looking forward to its return and extremely disappointed it is not. I have a question, what happens after the few movies that are scheduled to air in 2015. Is that the end?
I wonder if there is a possibility of the series returning or are you trying to target a specific age of audience and this show doesn’t fit those specs.
I don’t understand why the network would remove such a great show.
Please bring it back as a weekly series along with movies.
My husband and I truly love this TV series. It has heart and soul. The characters are quirky and touching, the type you wish were part of your family. We wondered why we had not heard about the series being renewed, like the blurbs for “Cedar Cove”. Personally, a longer format would be welcomed in order to develop stronger themes and help the flesh out the characters more as they are challenged by well written plots. Nevertheless, my cable company does not carry the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel; therefore, the company puts itself in a very disadvantageous position by… Read more »
