Franchise to Include Multiple 2-Hour Original Movies; First Film, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas,” Premieres November 23
Crown Media Family Networks announced today that Hallmark Channel original weekly scripted series, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” executive produced and written by Martha Williamson (Executive Producer of “Touched by an Angel”), will move to sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as a movie franchise consisting of a series of two-hour original films. Debuting on November 23 at 9pm ET/PT, 8C, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas” will be the first movie in the franchise, with three more slated for 2015.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Martha Williamson and to bring her brand of rich and poignant stories to viewers on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries,” said Michelle Vicary, executive vice president, programming and network publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “At their core, the narratives on ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ revolve around mystery and suspense, with compelling characters and dramatic storylines that will be enhanced by an extended format.”
“When Bill Abbott and Michelle Vicary asked if I can evolve the ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ franchise into a series of movies, I was honored to continue the Hallmark tradition of quality family movies,” said series Creator and Executive Producer Martha Williamson. “At the heart of ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ is Oliver, a modern day gentleman with old world values played brilliantly by Eric Mabius,” she added. “He and his wonderful team of postal detectives will continue to surprise us and sometimes make us laugh as they work to solve mysteries behind letters, even mysteries of life.”
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will introduce viewers to the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise by airing a marathon of the series on Saturday, October 11 from 11am – 11pm ET/PT, 10C.
Returning as the “POstables,” Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius, “Ugly Betty”), Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth, “Orphan Black”), Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe, “Smallville”) and Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson “Primeval: New World”) will take millions of viewers on new adventures as they uncover the mysteries of lost missives and return them to their intended recipients, profoundly changing lives in the process.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a comedic drama that follows the lives of a group of postal workers who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow on time.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”) and Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer.

Murray Responsibility in Television Award, the Templeton Prize Epiphany Award and nine Emmy(R) nominations.
What do you think? Is this a good move? Would you prefer that it continue as a weekly series or are you okay with a series of movies instead?
I’m so disappointed that is not continuing to show. I love the idea of the movies, but Hallmark should also continue the weekly series. I love it more than other series that you have.. re-consider.. thank you!
I love this show, can’t wait to watch it every week. Twice a year is not enough. This is a good clean intelligent show.
My Heart is officially broken. As another post said, of course I’ll watch the movie, the Christmas movie was incredible and I laughed, cried, smiled, and just adored it, bit this was one show I couldn’t wait every….single…..week to see. Totally heart broken to know we won’t be able to see our favorite characters on a weekly basis. This show gave those of us with lost hope and Mich sadness in life something Joyful and Wonderful to get lost in. Please please please keep it a weekly series and never let it end and add the special movies also, but… Read more »
Apologies for all the typos and auto corrects above.
I am torn between the two possabilities. Both would be nice. The series would be more often though shorter. the movies would be less often but longer. why not make a series withe more and/or longer episodes. 15 to 20 episodes with 90 min unless that would ruin chance of having good stories in the long run. I know writing can sometimes be a challenge, and having to put out so many can cause some one to burn out in time. there is the possability of a story going for 2 or 3 episodes but that kind of ruins the… Read more »
I just now watched Signed, Sealed, Delivered for Christmas. Oh my, I wish I had watched it before Christmas. How relevant it was, and is. Thank you so much for the wonderful writing. Inspirational, encouraging, entertaining, and so worth watching. I looked up this movie because I wanted to tell the people behind this series that I appreciate the writing so much. It’s hard in this day and age to find good writing and programs worth watching. This is one that stands out as being exceptional, enjoyable, and moving. I’m so disappointed the weekly series has ended. I didn’t realize… Read more »
I’m SO sad!!!! I love this show and cannot believe the change. I will watch the movies of course, but still want the series!
I TOTALLY agree with all the comments. The case was tremendous and the story plot changed every episode. I was really looking forward to the series in stead of all the old cowboy and western stuff. I think they will loose people who cannot get the HMM channel but who are looking for some nice, wholesome, clean entertainment with even a little faith interjected. What a shame. I wish the decision makers would read all of these comments because I’m sure they are only a small representation to the greater majority.

I like the weekly format and disappointed to find out it will be limited to a few presentations and not on the regular Hallmark network.
Very upset Signed Sealed Delivered weekly series has been cancelled. The show is so uplifting and Oliver,Shane,Rita & Norman are wonderful as the cast. I always looked forward to Sunday evenings. PLEASE RECONSIDER THE CHANGE FROM MOVIES TO SERIES!!
I will watch the movies. However, I am EXTREMELY disappointed that Signed, Sealed, Delivered will not be a weekly show anymore. Not a good move on Hallmark’s part.
The show, actors and stories were something to look forward to on a weekly basis. I sincerely hope Hallmark will reconsider.
I just found out about this change, and didn’t see the Christmas movie. Does anyone know if/when it may re-air??
They may air the Christmas movie right before the next new movie airs. Otherwise, they will most likely not air it again until next Christmas time. However, I know the DVD was released and it’s a great movie and one well worth owning. From one Signed Sealed Delivered fan to another-I hope this helps.
Hi,
I saw where someone actually found it on YouTube. It is a very good movie.
Hope this helps.
For what it’s worth, I just sent a message directly to Hallmark via their website. Hopefully others will follow suit. Canceling this series was poorly done on their part. I am so sorry to see it go.
I’ll so the same thing! Thanks for the suggestion.

I just told friends to look for the show today. I love it and love the the people. It feels like family. I would miss the weekly programming. I just want to say I really enjoyed the Christmas program so much I had to purchase it. I just do not want to see it go off the air.
I am very disappointed that hallmark decided to make movies rather than a weekly series. I only saw the Christmas episode during Christmas, as this is when I usually watch hallmark, because of Christmas. I was elated to learn there were more shows and even a series, but than as I tried to locate when it was to be aired I found this. So very disappointing. The characters were well spun, the hint of faith and religion was lovely and very captivating stories. This and Jesse Stone as series shows would make my ultimate viewing experience. And now I see… Read more »
So loved this series. Missed the Christmas special, darn it. Looking forward to the movies, BUT would love to see the series continue. It was so fun, heartwarming, dramatic, comical and everything it should be. Hallmark doesn’t try to cater to the desires of the politically correct, which is so important to those of us who celebrate values, morals, faith and decent fun in our entertainment. We get so much garbage to choose from on the channel line ups, that it is so very important that we have Hallmark as a beacon of light in this sea of darkness, evil… Read more »
Love this show. Looked forward to it every week. Very disappointed but better than it being cancelled.
