CROWN MEDIA FAMILY NETWORKS ANNOUNCES ‘SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED’ FROM MARTHA WILLIAMSON, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF ‘TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL,’ MOVES TO HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES WITH NEW EXTENDED FORMAT
Franchise to Include Multiple 2-Hour Original Movies; First Film, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas,” Premieres November 23
Crown Media Family Networks announced today that Hallmark Channel original weekly scripted series, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” executive produced and written by Martha Williamson (Executive Producer of “Touched by an Angel”), will move to sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as a movie franchise consisting of a series of two-hour original films. Debuting on November 23 at 9pm ET/PT, 8C, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas” will be the first movie in the franchise, with three more slated for 2015.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Martha Williamson and to bring her brand of rich and poignant stories to viewers on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries,” said Michelle Vicary, executive vice president, programming and network publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “At their core, the narratives on ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ revolve around mystery and suspense, with compelling characters and dramatic storylines that will be enhanced by an extended format.”
“When Bill Abbott and Michelle Vicary asked if I can evolve the ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ franchise into a series of movies, I was honored to continue the Hallmark tradition of quality family movies,” said series Creator and Executive Producer Martha Williamson. “At the heart of ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ is Oliver, a modern day gentleman with old world values played brilliantly by Eric Mabius,” she added. “He and his wonderful team of postal detectives will continue to surprise us and sometimes make us laugh as they work to solve mysteries behind letters, even mysteries of life.”
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will introduce viewers to the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise by airing a marathon of the series on Saturday, October 11 from 11am – 11pm ET/PT, 10C.
Returning as the “POstables,” Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius, “Ugly Betty”), Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth, “Orphan Black”), Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe, “Smallville”) and Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson “Primeval: New World”) will take millions of viewers on new adventures as they uncover the mysteries of lost missives and return them to their intended recipients, profoundly changing lives in the process.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a comedic drama that follows the lives of a group of postal workers who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow on time.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”) and Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer.

ABOUT MARTHA WILLIAMSON
Martha Williamson made television history when her CBS series “Touched By An Angel” set a new standard for an inspirational family drama when it grew to a weekly audience of 25 million viewers during its initial nine year run. As Executive Producer of the ground-breaking series, she was the visionary who guided the series into previously uncharted territory with her unique brand of storytelling that produced more than strong ratings; it changed lives. She went on to seal her place in history when she became the first woman to solely executive produce two one-hours simultaneously with “Promised Land,” which aired for three years on CBS. She began her career in comedy with the producing teams for Carol Burnett and Joan Rivers and went on to write and produce situation comedies such as “The Facts of Life,” “Family Man” and “Jack’s Place” for all the networks before making the transition to one-hour drama. Her work has been inducted into the Television and Radio Hall of Fame and honored with numerous awards, including the Edward R. Murray Responsibility in Television Award, the Templeton Prize Epiphany Award and nine Emmy(R) nominations.
What do you think? Is this a good move? Would you prefer that it continue as a weekly series or are you okay with a series of movies instead?
I am a HUGE fan of Hallmark and their series. The SSD I was hoping was going to be a WEEKLY show, however, it appears for the present we have two more 2 hour shows. With all the depressing shows and news on our TV’s, I find Hallmark to be a “breath of fresh air’ and look forward to their series GREAT JOB MARTHA on this SSD group . All 40 shows I have recorded and, have on my DVR are Hallmark movies, “SO KEEPIM’ COMEIM’ HALLMARK. Thanx for some wonderful entertainment.
I want the series to continue the movies are too far as part
Yes, 6-7 months apart is a long time for such great, uplifting entertainment. There is a petition going to request that Hallmark consider bringing SSD back as a series. I hope you’ll think about signing it.
Thanks.

We would prefer the weekly showings.
The 2 hour movies are too long and slow for viewing. They are also bundled at a higher price. Sorry to see this change of a beloved program with a great cast and perfect stories/writing with a strong message. So needed in today’s world.
Debbie Andrews, also a fan, has kindly put together a petition so people who want the series back can sign it and request that Hallmark consider reinstating it as a series. I hope you will consider signing the petition and who knows…maybe Hallmark will listen and bring it back as a series.
Thanks.

Very disappointed Good show good series and it is canceled. Disappointed with hallmark Channel Please bring this show back
Hi Pat. I miss the series too. I loved the new movie but like many people here, I really enjoyed the weekly series. The Christmas movie came out in Nov. 2014; this one is June 2015. That’s a long time in-between, especially when so much of what is on television is NOT uplifting. Debbie Andrews put a petition together to request that Hallmark consider bringing the series back. I hope you will sign it. Thanks.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered is a heartwarming, touch show whether it be a series of movie. Please keep them coming. I always feel inspired at the end of each one!
Folks, I love SSD just like the rest of you but did anyone see what I saw? Norman and Rita finally connected as did Shane and Oliver. Series is done!
Loving the movies. I do miss the weekly programs though. When will the next movie be? It is hard to find good clean shows on tv. This is a welcomed change.
To the writer’s of Signed, Sealed Delivered… Can you please pay more attention to the dates? As a fan of the series and the movies, I have watched them many, many, many times and sometimes it can be a little frustrating. For instance, when did Shane start at the post office, June 22nd or the first week of June? How old is Danielle Barrett, 2 or 4 years old? In a show that deals with postmarks, please be more aware of the dates you use within the ‘series’ and within an individual episode. Again I love the series and the… Read more »
loved the series wiiill miss it but will be watching for more movies. The Paris one was GREAT!
I watched the marathon movies for the first time on Saturday – June 6th. Needless to say, I never left my house as I did not want to miss anything. I would love to see the marathon played again. Is there any way to know in advance when a movie will be coming out so I don’t miss it? As I am Christian and enjoy the wholeness of the show – something missing these days, I enjoyed the movies tremendously. The cast was outstanding! And very fun to watch – especially Valerie making a cameo role. Keep up the good… Read more »
I live for this program, whether it’s a weekly or the 2 hour movie! I just turned 80 in May and I find the emotions displayed by the actors, in their roles, are just wonderful. Having lived a long time, I can relate to the elation, fear, sadness, joy and other emotions they are feeling! The premise of attempting to deliver a letter whose recipiant or writer has long since been forgotten is just riveting! I just saw the episode where Oliver’s wife returns from Paris to the consternation of Shaynne and like Shaynne I was rooting for Oliver not… Read more »
Can you purchase the movies if you can’t watch them on TV?
I’ve just replied to a few others that I bought the series from Amazon.com. I had to wait over a month until they got the series in, but I’m so happy to have it in my possession. You might try to order it as well.
Yes, I bought the while first season on vuudu and you can also get them on yidio and amazon.com. You can rent them or buy them.
i saw my first of this series a week ago. i have taped the marathon to watch, but the new one about Oliver’s wife in Paris did not tape. i hope it will be on soon again so i may see it also. I love it. My husband and i watched together. And cried and laughed. It is so wonderful to have a program without gratuitous sex, violence, swearing. The cast is super and i hope this won’t be the last of the series. Thank you.
It’s only being shown as movies now. There are supposed to be 3 in 2015, as I understand it. The first was shown on 6/6/2015. Check the Hallmark website and I’m sure you’ll find where it will be shown again.
Debbie Andrews (a fan) put together a petition to respectfully ask Hallmark to bring the series back. Please consider signing the petition. Thanks!

It is being re-run a few times in June. Check their Facebook page. Different times of the day. I know it’s on this week again. I think on thurs and Friday and there are other dates and times too.
Am currently watching the marathon. I’m sorry to hear that the weekly show has been cancelled will definitely watch the movies when they are released.
I enjoy watching the shows…it is a refreshing break from the daily blood and guts that is so prevalent today. Hope there are many more films.
I think many people enjoyed watching the weekly show. For me, I liked having something uplifting every week. Debbie Andrews created a petition to ask Hallmark to reinstate the weekly series. I hope you will consider signing it.
