The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

And since we talking about ratings EMPIRE has sucked since season 3 and they ratings have dropped but they get “priority” and a final season this is bull…somebody down at FOX better be reading these comments and realize that they f****d up and made a huge mistake and put my show in the line up for next season….or you wont have to worry about ratings from me I will never watch anything on FOX again…
This is so wrong…Star deserved a proper ending just as much as Empire does…at least tie everything up and let’s see how everything plays out…ppl keep talking about the ratings this show was EXCELLENT and had an excellent cast….I WANT A SEASON 4….its been a week since Fox cancelled STAR and I’m still hurt…its not fair stop adding shows when you already have GREAT shows with plenty of talent..

I don’t understand how you make a powerful ending leaving everyone with unanswered questions. I stopped watching Empire because I felt STAR was more interesting give it another season or 3 because it was very exciting.
MAKE A SEASON 4! I’ve never seen a show end like that and Star is a GREAT SHOW! Cancelling is because of ratings? NO WAY! Each season gets better and better. PLEASE MAKE A SEASON 4!

You can’t leave the fans hanging like that. Way to much happened at the end of season 3 to just leave it. At least give us one more season to know what happens.

I’m really pissed. How could they end it like that. Just because they want to give Empire a proper send off, for what? The network needs to figure out how to let the fans know what was going to happen in season 4. I’ve watched every episode since day one. Fox owes its loyal fans big time.
