The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

I think it is completely ridiculous that they would cancel the show I mean I am completely on the edge of my seet from season 3. It is my favorite show I’ve watch all 3 seasons 3 different times. SEOSNON 4 NEEDS TO COME BACK!!!!
What an awful way to cancel a show with a finally like that. The last episode was on point. This show was the only reason I watched FOX.
Plain old ridiculous! I would surely watch season 4. I am not a television person because I dont have the time, but I surely find the time to watch Star. I guess I won’t be watching fox 5 anymore♀️. Please dont cancel Star! Its one of the best shows yet.

I think its crazy to have such a cliff hanger and then cancel this show. I absolutely loved it, and would DEFINITELY keep watching it. BRING BACK STAR!!!!!! SEASON 4, C’MON ALREADY!!!!!

Fox sucks, they always get rid of good shows and keep the dumb ones. The only reason why I was watching fox was because of Star. No need for me to watch them any more.
Why would you cancel this show? That finale was amazing but left things so open ended its so unfair! Pick it up and give the girls a happy ending like they deserve! Even if its a short 6 episodes I think it could be done ; was the reception shot up by the bank heads because of Derek or retaliation on cassie and Mateo by xander?? How yall just gonna end the series with folks shot up and not knowing the outcome of all that? That’s a good way to lose viewers on your other shows knowing that something like this can happen……dissatisfied viewer

This is not fair. This show cannot end especially with that last episode. If you gun cancel we as viewers deserve a better ending at least. I put my entire family on this show. We watch it faithfully. I feel like I’m being dumped in the worst way possible for no reasonable explanation.
