The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

Please bring Star back. Why get us hooked on it if you’re just going to take it away. We can brainstorm ways to get viewers back. Maybe a little less drama and more music or just an even balance. Maybe some guest stars or combine Empire and Star. Just because their numbers are down doesn’t mean you cancel the whole show. It’s possible theres a need for better hits to sing on the show. This is a GREAT show ! I can’t believe Fox cancelled it ! Maybe they can at least incorporate some of the characters into Empire, like they were alluding to in the last few epsiodes. Something… I am very sad this show is ending !!!
How can STAR being cancelled?!!! Especially after the way Season 3 ended!! They need to bring it back for Season 4! It was a great show & the cast was the best! Bring back STAR!!!!
I m not happy about the show being cancelled, because the way it ended, it should be a season 4 to continue what happened in season 3, I don’t watch any of the other shows on Fox, but that one and now it is cancelled I m in tears!

I am sadden to hear of now my show Star has been canceled. I really enjoyed the tv show. I couldn’t watch it all the time when it aired but I stayed up to date on Hulu. I dont like that there wont be a season 4 especially how it ended. It had so much suspense at the end of this season. It has you waiting to see what happens in the next season. I can’t believe Star would be cancelled! Star is one of the best shows out and I loved watching it. Then to end season 3 the way it did and give us no season 4 is just ridiculous!!!
