The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

I would of certainly watched season 4 I was looking forward to watching the return premiere episode to find out what was the results of the shoot up at the wedding. My mother and I watched it weekly and looked forward to it after work. I say we air it for season 4! I’d certainly watch it.
Loved Star and Empire. It drives me crazy that they leave STUPID shows on but cancel the awesome ones!!

If they don’t renew star, I’m totally done with FOX. I only watch STAR and EMPIRE. It’s really dumb that they will have stupid ass shows instead of really good ones that leave everyone on their seat waiting to see what happens next like in STAR!!
I would have definitely watched another Season of Star, I loved watching it I couldn’t wait for the next episodes to come on. I feel that its crazy to be taking off all of these good shows and replacing them with Wack Shows, Star and Empire was the only reason I would even watch that channel Not at all interested in any other shows at all , at least coming from FOX.
I think if they don’t want to make a new season at least have like a two hour farewell
Like the season three ended dramatically has lots of drama the shoot up at the wedding the grandmother dying and stars baby going missing I think the loyal fans deserve answers and a farewell
I think you should have kept Star on and just made a little more exciting, I really enjoyed watching Star, very disappointed that the show won’t be airing again!

Yes, I liked Star I would have continued watching the show. I was surprised it was canceled so soon but after Empire was canceled I figured this one was going to be as well. Hate to see them both go.
