The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

I think cancelling this show is a huge mistake, especially considering how season 3 came to an end. In many ways, I thought Star was actually better than Empire. Hey, wouldn’t it be great if another network picked up this series? I love the show and I am incredibly disappointed it is already coming to an end so soon.
I will not continue to watch fox until this is resolved how can they just end season 3 like that then cut it off no not acceptable
Star is one of the few shows on television that have followed from day one. I am very sad and angry that it has been cancelled. I am not alone. We need a season 4! Please don’t do this to us
Fox News it is wrong to leave us hanging. As fans watching it faithfully the right thing to do is let us know how it really ends. There was shootings, baby stolen, and other important events that happened and then an abrupt ending. I hope consideration is given to put closure to a ending. We loved this chow let thousands of other people.
Yes I’m very sad that it was cancelled this show along with empire was my favorite shows and the way the last show ended really sucks now not being able to find out what happened to everyone who lives who does. Please bring it back
I am so sick of the show’s I love being cancelled. Atleast do another season and give a proper ending to all of the cliffhangers. There is still a lot of life and storyline left to continue the show.
I know that I definitely would have watched season 4..but I am now sceptical on any Fox show after a finale like that and now its cancelled..it was now pointless to watch..annoyed that it was cancelled !

We have family night just to watch Empire and stars and we need to know what happened to the rest of the family and everything else before y’all take it take it off at least do a season finales like the rest of the shows hope somebody else picks it up for them to finish or something y’all just can’t leave us hanging
They can’t just leave us like that not know what happens you guys to give us one more season atleast

I can not believe Fox done went and cancelled this dang show man!! I am so mad right now I Love the show Star as well as Empire on Fox Network. And really Fox you all are going to give all of us 3 million plus fans that tune in every Wednesday & the other probably million plus that watch on Hulu & other streaming devices an Ending on Star like that !!
