The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

Unbelievable you guys leave absolute garbage on an cancel a show that features talent and a decent story line. This show needs a season 4 not to mention how you gone leave fans hanging after that kind of ending.

I loved thus show. I am sadden to hear that it will not be returning. It most definitely has my vote if it is to be picked up from another network.
Please renew this show. People that I know love this show. Hopefully some other network will pick it up. Such a loss!
I agree star is a wonderful show
This is not the best way to end a wonderful show like this! I love cliffhangers cause they keep things interesting but that would mean that we get to know what happens later. In this case, if it is canceled I am going to be really disappointed because this show is freaking AMAZING!! I’ve become attached to this show and it’s really not fair to us fans
Fox there is still more story here. Look how Season 3 ended. Don’t cancel. Don’t cancel. I wait and binge watch so I don’t have to wait so long between seasons and to hear this! Not ok
Wow! I can’t believe that Star has been canceled. I’ve watched this show from the very beginning and I love it and all the cast. I really wish it would’ve ended differently due to the fact the show is being canceled. So much is left unanswered…that is crazy! So much happened in the finale and now to find out the show is canceled?! I wish another network would pick ‘Star’ up and continue with new season! Bring back ‘Star’!!!!
I would like for STAR to come back it’s a good show. I’ll miss it but please bring it back.
Definitely want a season 4 and wish Netflix, Hulu, Tvone, BET or OWN would pick it up and bring it back. There is so much more story to tell and this show and its cast members will be truly missed.
I like STAT I would love to see more of the show. It helps these young girls to get started in music. That u can do what ever u set your mind to. I would really like for STAR to come back.
Are you serious?!? Empire seem to be dragging on after a few seasons but Star gets cancelled?!? No no no! Bring Star back for a 4th season. That ain’t fair that ya left it hanging like that.

You should at least have it on another season. If you knew it was going to be cancelled why end it like that. We would like to know what happened to everyone. Its so many question that need answered. Why did crazy girl come back? Who lived who died? Did star and Noah get back together? Who took the baby? What was the shooter after? You should have ended it on a good note not like that or you should have had a 2hr finale
