What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, Star follows three talented singers as they navigate the cut-throat music business on their road to success. They’re desperate for a new start and have ambitions of stardom. As reality seeps into the girls’ fantasies, they begin to learn that ambition often comes at a cost. And sometimes that cost is too high. The cast includes Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, and Brittany O’Grady. Lenny Kravitz guest stars.

Telly’s Take
This music drama debuted in December 2016 with a 2.15 rating in the demo and an audience of 6.71 million viewers. Although that is a strong start, the network then took the fledgling musical drama off the air for three weeks. When it returned on January 4th, it garnered a 1.59 in the demo and 4.72 million viewers. In its fourth week, Star fell to a 1.23 and 3.958 million, respectively. By the time FOX renewed Star for season two, on February 22nd, it was averaging a 1.41 demo rating and an audience of 4.46 million. Subscribe to this page. After all, even renewals can be cancelled.

I am sooooooo glad Eva and hunter is gone they we’re both bad people on this show. I hope Higheal does not get blamed for the shooting though he don’t deserve it he tried to do good by saving those girls and he was used by that evil hoe Eva ….. Please please pleas don’t cancel the series it was awesome. I love the singing.

Boy oh boy! STAR is an amazing show and who ever comes after them, let me tell you it’ll be one hard act to follow! And I got one am glad to see Eva and Hunter dead and gone, but they kept it on edge too, so I’m interested to see what’s next…and to find out who done it! I knew from jump that, that lady killed Odis too! Has Derek told Alex he’s paralyzed at all? And did Cotton have her surgery before the police got get? Myself Heather 30yrs old and My daughter Jasmine who is 6 1/2 yrs old Love, Love, Love this show….. We are sad that tonight was the Finale as all shows have to have one it’s never fun waiting for the next season to come, especially when there is a cliffhanger like most series do that’s what brings you back to watch the next season. On the other hand we both are excited that Empire will be returning next Wednesday so it makes for perfect timing so that we will not have to wait to watch our 2nd program the following… Read more »
