What can fans expect from Star Trek: Discovery? Recently, showrunner Aaron Harberts spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming CBS All Access TV show.
The newest installment in the Star Trek franchise will follow “the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new lifeforms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself.” The cast includes Jason Isaacs, Mary Wiseman, Sonequa Martin-Green, Rainn Wilson, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Michelle Yeoh, and James Frain.
Speaking to EW, Harberts revealed the Klingons will look different in Star Trek: Discovery:
In the different versions of Trek, the Klingons have never been completely consistent. We will introduce several different houses with different styles. Hopefully, fans will become more invested in the characters than worried about the redesign.”
Star Trek: Discovery premieres on CBS on September 24th at 8:30 ET/PT. Subsequent episodes will be available to stream exclusively on CBS All Access.
Take a first look at the new Klingons below:
What do you think? Are you a fan of Star Trek? Will you watch the new TV show?
No, if this airs only on a PPV/subscription channel, I will NOT watch it, and I’m a BIG Star Trek fan since TOS. I’m sorry to see CBS has decided to go this way. Maybe if we all boycott it on PPV, they’ll come to their senses and put it on-air.
First rule of ‘different-looking Klingons’: “We don’t talk about it!”
