The CW has been having some great success with DC Comics superhero shows. Now, CBS has gotten into the game with their own entry — Supergirl. While Arrow and The Flash fit well with rest of The CW’s programming, Supergirl seems out of place on CBS, a network known for older-skewing procedurals. Will the new series soar in the ratings or will it crash? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
Supergirl revolves around Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist). As a girl, she survived Krypton’s destruction by being sent to Earth where she was raised as a human. She kept her powers a secret and now, as an adult, works as an assistant at a big city media conglomerate. Kara’s existence becomes known to the world and she is enlisted by a super-secret agency to help protect the citizens from evil forces as Supergirl. The rest of the cast includes Calista Flockhart, Chyler Leigh, Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood, and Jeremy Jordan.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/12 update: Supergirl has been renewed for a second season but is moving to The CW.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Supergirl TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
TBH I think this show suck. They did cast a bad lead actress.I tried to watch but melissa benoist can’ tact, she’s the worst. And why she is not blond? I think They just did a terrible choice for the lead. They should had pick claire holt or caity lotz
I’m a big fan of the show but to Steve and Martin…..I thinks it’s best that you two clown, fanboys simply just STFU.
Supergirl is and Excellent show and the rating are good

Super girls doing a great job I love the show or brother loves it and my kids and grandkids love it it’s a show for all ages and CBS did a great job putting it on and it’s time for them to renew it for another season
CBS has been doing a great job I can’t until the next episode because the show also has a excellent cast and writers
It’s doing okay. It’s hard to really take off when it’s on the same day as Monday night football, and the voice. In fairness I don’t know it it can get much higher, but it might mean it will at least be solid where the ratings are at now. Plus its getting better. To me it’s at least a solid 3 stars right now, with a potential to grow.
CBS did a excellent job with supergirl every body loves the show
Keep the darn show. One of the few I like on tv. I think tv is horrible compared to when I was younger. No more stupid reality shows. No wonder people are getting away from normal tv.
Great to see a big bump up in the ratings after a steady decline over the previous few weeks. Maybe CBS will give Supergirl a second season after all.
