The Winchester brothers have gone through hell (literally) to protect the world from the forces of evil. Just like their TV show, they’ve survived despite the deck being stacked against them. Supernatural has outlasted any other show on The CW network but how much longer can it go on? Will it be renewed for a 12th season or will this be the year that it’s cancelled? Stay tuned.
On Supernatural, the Winchester brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles), continue their fight against scary stuff from the underworld. Misha Collins and Mark A. Sheppard return in recurring roles.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
3/11 update: The CW has renewed this TV show and 10 others for the 2016-17 season.
5/26 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated charts, please try reloading the page. You can also see them here.
For comparisons: The 10th season of Supernatural averaged a 0.81 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.02 million total viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Supernatural TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a 12th season? How long should this show continue?
My oldest son sat with me seven-years-ago to watch one episode, from there, him and I seat together every Wednesday and enjoy the show and each others company. By the way, he is now 22-years-old.
2/17/16. was another, great, great , great.!!! episode., great writing.
Supernatural is one of those kind of series, that u get totally addicted to, I love the show so very much, it became my daily routine. From day 1, and it lasted 10 years and i am totally engulfed in it. Thinking of ending this series gives me nightmares literally. But I know every thing comes to an end at some point, but as been in #SPNFamily and looking up to my idols Jensen, Jared , Misha and all the writers of the show, i Think they should have said something if season 11 is the final straw. But who… Read more »
Supernatural is the best show ever! Keep up the horror, sarcasm, laughs and phenomenal acting! The cast works so well together. I’m a forever fan! You have to let them keep going!
Supernatural is the best show I’ve ever kept up with. I Look forward to watching it everyday. I get bummed on weekends when their not showing an episode. So, yes I would hope they continue on & do a season 12. I haven’t even watched season 11 yet. It would be very upseting to have the show end. I have watched frim season one through 9, 4 times and I am now on the last two episodes of season 10. I’m about cought up & it would be awesome for the show to have a season 12 & continue on.… Read more »
This is by far my all-time favourite show and the best thing on TV right now. Guarantee there will be hell to pay if we don’t get a season 12 🙂
This show rocks. Every episode gets better and better. If they had advertisements on buses, I’m sure it would have more watchers than the Flash. #ohmy
best show…they never get down of ideas, sometimes things go bad..but hey, they just rise back up…….. Scary just got sexy 😉
this show, never gets old.!! just keep up the good work., and dont kill crowly, the king of hell.
They definitely need to keep the show going. I think the creative energy should keep flowing until there are no more ideas left to play out. I love this series and will tune in for as many seasons as it plays.
They need to keep the show going, I love the show and how it is the only show that I know of besides Constantine that is bold enough to take on religion and throw a whole new fresh spin on it. It is the only reason I watch anything on the CW. So for the million dollar question, keep it going- final answer.
Love the show. I have re-watched every season on Netflix and I am back at it again. Cannot get enough of it. I think I will go in a depression if there is no season 12. I know pathetic but can’t help it, it’s my guilty pleasure…
I keep reading comments on other sites where some viewers complain the show is just rehashing old plotlines, or that it should have ended after the S5 finale (the brilliant “Swan Song,”) or that Sam is now a watered-down version of the old Sam, or that Dean got too big an arc with the Mark of Cain, etc., etc. IOW, nothing but complaints. The fact is, the acting of the two leads is simply phenomenal, even when certain scripts are poor. So long as the show continues to give us brother moments intermixed with action, comedy, and cleverness, I’m happy.… Read more »
I’ve watched the show since it’s beginning. It started as my guilt pleasure. Now I don’t care, I’m a true fan. As long as they continue to surprise me with the directions and new story lines the show takes I will not miss an episode. Season 12…13… why not.
Really great show! Season 12 would be great.
