What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, the SWAT TV show stars Shemar Moore, Stephanie Sigman, Alex Russell, Jay Harrington, Lina Esco, Kenny Johnson, David Lim, Patrick St. Esprit, Amy Farrington, with Debbie Allen, Obba Babatundé, Gabrielle Dennis, and Deshae Frost in recurring roles. The crime thriller centers on Sergeant Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson (Moore), a Los Angeles native and former Marine who’s been tapped to lead a new “last stop” Special Weapons And Tactics unit (S.W.A.T.). Thanks to his background, he is uniquely qualified to lead the team in a manner that also builds a bridge to the community he holds dear. Hondo’s group includes seasoned David “Deacon” Kay (Harrington), cocky newcomer Jim Street (Russell), canine trainer Christina “Chris” Alonso (Esco), expert driver Dominique Luca (Johnson), and informant-connected Victor Tan (Lim). They work under the direct supervision of L.A. Metro Captain Jessica Cortez (Sigman) with Commander Robert Hicks (St. Espirit) managing all Metro Division S.W.A.T. units.

Telly’s Take
Will CBS cancel or renew SWAT for season four? The ratings are low once again and it’s one of the lowest-rated scripted series on CBS. Though I think it will likely be renewed, I’d feel more confident if the ratings were better. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the ratings and update this page with breaking developments. What do you think? Are you glad that the SWAT TV show has been renewed for a fourth season? How would you feel if CBS had cancelled this TV series, instead?
I love S.W.A.T.
Nooooooo keep producing new series, they are amazing! X
Actually I have been looking for an excuse to cancel my Cable TV subscription, and this may be it. If you cancel this program I will no longer have any excuse to keep it. You have already canceled one of my favorite programs, and now you are talking about canceling another. Well I for one will not put up with it. I will definitely cancel my Cable TV subscription; thereby canceling you out of my life permanently.
I’ve binged watched season one through three and enjoyed it thoroughly. I was very excited to know that season four was going to be coming out. I am disheartening to know that the ratings dropped with season three and know that this could influence any further seasons and continuation of the program.
I just binged season one through three of swat and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I am very glad that you decided to bring back season four. I was discouraged to find out that the ratings have dropped in season three. Because I know this may not bode well for the continuation of the series.
Ì look forward to see in SWAT every week. The shows are heartwarming and I am glad it’s coming back for another season.i love this show!
SWAT is a great show it should not be cancelled I hope it is renewed I can’t wait they better not cancel it that would suck!
I’m not a huge Shemar Moore fan, but I love him in SWAT, he has a moving sexy body and Deacon is fine and has a sexiness about him.
I’m so happy. I love SWAT.
The reason why the ratings are low is bc it’s going up against Chicago PD why the hell did they move the run day? SWAT is a great show but no one will know when it’s going up against other long-standing cop shows.
SWAT definitely deserves to be renewed for a 4th season!! This is a quality show with plenty of action and drama. It keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more. The cast and crew are great! They put out quality performances every single time. I love the fact that they train and work so hard to make sure they portray themselves and the real SWAT officers in top notch fashion. Plus they work with actual SWAT officers to make sure they are doing it correctly, I really appreciate that. They care about the issues of today and portray… Read more »
