As previously reported, the Taken TV show on NBC has been cancelled. While there will be no third season on the Peacock Network, now that the cancellation has been confirmed by that network, the producers are reportedly peddling Taken season three to other interested parties.
An NBC crime thriller, Taken is a prequel to the Luc Besson film franchise starring Liam Neeson. The Taken TV series adaptation stars Clive Standen as a young, but already lethal Bryan Mills. The cast, which was tweaked after a soft freshman outing, also includes Jennifer Beals, Adam Goldberg, and Jessica Camacho. The drama follows Mills and his team, as they embark upon rescue missions around the globe.
Taken Season Three Could Return On Another Outlet

After being bumped from the schedule last month, “Taken” was officially canceled by NBC on Friday after two seasons.
However, an insider with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap that the series — based on the popular movie franchise starring Liam Neeson — is already being shopped around by studios Universal Television and EuropaCorp TV USA.
Taken: A Look at the Ratings
The second season of Taken is averaging a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.764 million viewers. Compared to season one, it is down by about 56% and 46%, respectively. By both measures, it is the lowest rated of NBC’s scripted TV shows. It is largely thanks to international sales that Taken was renewed for season two on NBC.
SCHEDULING NOTE: As we also previously reported in April, Taken season two was pulled from the network’s Friday night lineup. According to the Taken show page, on NBC.com, season two will return on Saturday, May 26th and is expected to finish out its run on Saturday nights.

This is exactly why I have a hard time getting invested in new shows. Every time I get into one it’s cancelled. I loved this show it had great character development and action without being gratuitously violent and gory. All the networks need to ax the cheesy game and “reality” shows and return prime time to quality programming.

I thought season 2 was much better and hoped for a season 3. Maybe on a different channel or platform…
I love this show. They always cancel the good shows. They even cancelled The Brave which I thought was a good show too.
Exactly, I totally agree on both counts. Both of these shows are awesome. My husband and I both really liked them . Just like a Firefly. The best shows always get cancelled. Please bring it back somewhere. Taken and The Brave
I very unhappy that they have taken off this show. I think this cast works well together but couldn’t hurt to add more characters. Put on a night where people will watch
I loved the show, nothing else on TV like it. I do believe that season 1 was better. The storylines were stronger and, the cast was better. Better in terms of the central character had a back up team of more than 2 people plus a love interest. As agents season 1 was more believable. Please bring back the show on another network or streaming.
I want more of Taken. The storyline in the actors/actresses are great.
Hope another network will pick it up! I thought the chemistry between the characters was great! The humor from Adam Goldberg’s character and Jessica Camacho’s; with her working as Brian Mills partner for the good or the bad, and the control that Jennifer Beals has to have over them. Please bring TAKEN back….there is so many other series with near the same ratings and continue on… that are terrible!
I really enjoyed the show & I hope it is picked up by another network. I actually enjoyed the cast from Season 1 better than Season 2 but the stars of Clive Standen & Jennifer Beals are awesome. Please bring it back somewhere.
Keep Taken on! It is about criminals and related to realistic nightmare scenerios. However, it presents without the viewer gasping which is pure talent, minus the need to have the show needing to alarm younger viewers. Keep the show on!

I Love Taken. It’s nothing new, that the network takes the good programs off. I never miss a show. Sometimes watch it again on VOD.
I really enjoyed this show. I hope another network picks it up. Another show yhat has been canceled that we really liked was Thw Brave.
