Do you watch Taken? Recently, NBC announced they’ve renewed the TV series for a second, but will you watch? What do you think?
Based on the film franchise starring Liam Neeson, the action drama stars Clive Standen as a younger Bryan Mills, a former Green Beret who embarks on a quest for vengeance after a personal tragedy. The cast also includes Jennifer Beals, Gaius Charles, Brooklyn Sudano, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Michael Irby, James Landry Hébert, Jose Pablo Cantillo, Simu Liu, and Ali Kazami.
The renewal was a little bit surprising, give that season one of Taken has not performed all that well in the ratings. Overall, it averaged a 1.00 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.132 million viewers, making it one of NBC‘s lower-rated new series for the 2016-2017.
Nevertheless, the network decided to give Taken another chance and renewed it for a second season, probably because of the show’s international success.

YAY!!!!!!!! I’m so looking forward to a second season. The first grabbed me and I’ve already watched it again on Hulu. Can’t wait to see what happens to these characters now that Brian has some closure on one front. Looking forward to him getting home to see what happens with Asha and the team.

Really looking forward to the next season. Now that Mejia is out of the picture, I’m wondering what impact what will have on Brian’s character. Revenge was the hook that drew us to watching Brian and linked the show to its movie origin. Since revenge for his sister is on longer a driving force, what motive will replace I? Who may fill in as Brian’s or the team’s chief antagonist in S2? Maybe both questions will be involved in a season long story arc of Brian and the team working to get him out of Mexico. Why can’t I find the finale!???
Because you thought the finale was just another episode. It ended on just the type of cliff hanger they’ve used to end each ep.

What is NBC/Comcast thinking? This show is banal and had below CW ratings. Why was it renewed? No, the first two episodes where enough. It’s a channel turner show. Like Blindspot.
Yes I will be watching season 2. I think it is a very good show with lots of action. I think the actor that plays Liam Neeson’s part is very good and handsome.
Really like this show.
