Things don’t look good for Ten Days in the Valley. Deadline reports ABC has pulled the freshman TV show from its Sunday-night timeslot.
The mystery drama centers on Jane Sadler (Kyra Sedgwick), a television producer whose daughter disappears in the middle of the night. The cast also includes Kick Gurry, Erika Christensen, Josh Randall, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Felix Solis, Francois Battiste, Abigail Pniowsky, Ali Liebert, and Marisol Ramirez.
Effective immediately, Ten Days in the Valley will no longer air on ABC on Sunday nights as it has been for the past four weeks. Instead, the show will take a break and return on Saturday, December 16th, at 9 p.m. ET/PT with back-to-back new episodes.
The schedule shift suggests ABC is leaning towards cancelling the low-rated series. Currently, Ten Days in the Valley is averaging a .44 in the 18-49 demo and only 2.714 million viewers, making it the network’s lowest-rated series for the 2017-2018 season so far.

Sedgwick needs to distance herself from crime dramas. Try comedy, although it is said that doing comedy is harder than drama.

I have enjoyed the plot twists, and that they revealed the real culprit so early. If it’s only 10 episodes, why bother cancelling? Just let the show finish and tell the entire story, one and done. I’m fine with Saturdays, but the long break will surely tank the ratings. Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I love this show..its only supposed to be 10 shows. leave it alone so we can see all 10 shows!

Kyra Sedgwick is fantastic but the show is just “eh”. I watch it but I don’t care that it’s moving to Saturday and I can’t imagine any storyline past one season ☹️

True. This is not a good show for Kyra. It is not at all believable that a mother whose child has been taken would keep any secrets from the police. Who cares if it’s her drug dealer in the photo? Who cares that she uses recreational drugs sometimes? You don’t waste time lying to the police and keeping anything secret while the clock is ticking on your missing child. Still, I’d probably watch the rest of the show if it is ever aired just hoping she would turn into a believable mom.
So it really is as bad as I thought. What unlikable characters. Who are we supposed to root for.
I think they should give it a Full Season. Kyra Sedgewick has had luck with her other shows.
Moving it to another night isn’t bad, but that break between last & next episode will have been forgotten in the holiday hubub. Good way to kill & bury a show for sure.
I did not care for first three episodes, but Episode 4 was great.
I love seeing Kyra Sedgwick in another show!! Have missed the Closer since it’s been gone. I hope they keep it on. I’ll continue watching ❣️❣️
