Things don’t look good for Ten Days in the Valley. Deadline reports ABC has pulled the freshman TV show from its Sunday-night timeslot.
The mystery drama centers on Jane Sadler (Kyra Sedgwick), a television producer whose daughter disappears in the middle of the night. The cast also includes Kick Gurry, Erika Christensen, Josh Randall, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Felix Solis, Francois Battiste, Abigail Pniowsky, Ali Liebert, and Marisol Ramirez.
Effective immediately, Ten Days in the Valley will no longer air on ABC on Sunday nights as it has been for the past four weeks. Instead, the show will take a break and return on Saturday, December 16th, at 9 p.m. ET/PT with back-to-back new episodes.
The schedule shift suggests ABC is leaning towards cancelling the low-rated series. Currently, Ten Days in the Valley is averaging a .44 in the 18-49 demo and only 2.714 million viewers, making it the network’s lowest-rated series for the 2017-2018 season so far.

My wife & I are big fans of “The Closer” and especially Kyra Sedgwick. “Major Crimes” doesn’t measure up to the high standards of “The Closer”, without her. Had high hopes for Ten Days & Kyra’s return. While I find the acting & writing in Ten Days compelling, my wife stopped watching with me because she couldn’ t tolerate such an unsympathetic Kyra Sedgwick character. I suspect that feeling is commonplace & the reason for the poor ratings & cancellation. Still I can’t fault Kyra for being drawn artistically to this complex & nuanced role. Don’t cancel this show, I’m really enjoying it. There aren’t too many shows I like

I think 10 Days…is thrilling, well-acted, and you should not cancel it. When it originally aired on Sunday evening it had mucho and established competition.
Why not give it a chance in a better day/time slot
