Summer is here, and The Bachelorette TV show is back for its 15th season on ABC. While it didn’t seem likely to be cancelled, this season’s renewal took a long time in coming. Is the Alphabet Network still in love with the format, or is the fire fading? Will The Bachelorette be cancelled or renewed for season 16? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
An ABC “reality” dating competition, in season 15, The Bachelorette follows former Miss Alabama USA Hannah Brown — an alumna of the most recent season of The Bachelor, featuring Colton Underwood. Fans will remember Colton ended their relationship the night Hannah met his family. This time out, Hannah and host Chris Harrison will welcome guests including celebrity couple Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen, Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown and Terry Rozier, runway coach Miss J. Alexander, and drag queens Alyssa Edwards and Alaska. The 15th installment will also feature performances by Lukas Graham and Jake Owen, while locations will include Scotland, the Netherlands, Latvia, and Greece, as well as the traditional “hometown” dates.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
7/30 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

For comparisons: The 14th cycle of The Bachelorette averaged a 1.45 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.79 million total viewers.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you still like The Bachelorette TV series? Should ABC cancel or renew this reality TV show for season 16?
*8/5/19 update: ABC has renewed The Bachelorette for a 16th season.
Loved the Bachelorette, but couldn’t finish watching it due to Nexstar. They removed it from our line up because DirecTV refused to charge us up to $10 extra s month to keep it on the air. So, we also can’t watch Bachelor in Paradise (which we also love). Have always been loyal to these shows until Nexstar made it impossible!!! Don’t say watch it on regular TV either, because even with an antenna I can’t get any ABC stations!!?!
All the candidates are actresses or want to be’s. So cookie cutter. Liked it early on without all of the drama and just regular girls/women. Why give the bachelorette title to a troublemaker or bully? Did not watch Hannah Brown…she was a bully.
If the show had more substance and less drama, YES! Hannah was the worst. Very low class, disrespectful, and easy. You really don’t know anything about anyone in this show. All they do is talk about the process “journey” and make out with each other.
Total garbage, about as real as the Easter bunny. Nobody but NOBODY acts naturally if they know they’re being recorded. Much of these “reality” shows are scripted, no matter how much their makers deny it.
I hope this “dating/relationship” genre soon tanks !
This is my favorite Bachelorette so far. Excellent, like soap Opera, season. Hannah is so real. I hope she gets a broadcast career from this. Huge Thumbs up to Hannah!!!
I love the Bachelorette and the Bachelor and hope they never take it off the air. What would be nice to see is older people like me 64/65 finding love for the second/third time…but old people wouldn’t excite the younger crowd I’m sure. Either way I will continue to believe you can fall in love in a short time. I fell in love with my first husband on our second date and I knew I was going to marry him. That marriage lasted almost 18 years! So yes it can happen and does happen.
