A romantic musical dramedy that’s based on an Israeli series, The Baker and the Beauty TV show is a modern-day fairy tale that stars Victor Rasuk, Nathalie Kelley, Carlos Gomez, Dan Bucatinsky, Lisa Vidal, David Del Rio, Belissa Escobedo, and Michelle Veintimilla. In the show, everyman Daniel Garcia (Rasuk) is working in his family’s Miami bakery and doing everything that his loving Cuban parents and siblings expect him to do. One crazy night, Daniel meets Noa Hamilton (Kelley), an international superstar and fashion mogul. The pair quickly discover they have an attraction for one another and Daniel’s life suddenly turns upside down as it moves into the spotlight. Will this unlikely couple upend their lives to be together?

Please renew TV show The Baker and the Beauty! I love the story, characters and family dynamics of it. One of the few shows that doesn’t have violence & leaves you feeling good and wanting more! We need this, especially during this unfortunate epidemic. Thank You

I am surprised by how much I am enjoying this show. It has a plot beyond the obvious. The writers have created a family, & the actors all mesh well with one another to make this beyond just a light hearted romp. It has predictability, then the twist comes. I hope this all continues, & the show gets renewed.

Hadn’t watched it on ABC until I watched the first 3 episodes on Hulu. Love the show. Its cute and kinda corny. But a feel good show.
Just so enjoying this tv show. I missed having a series that I look forward to every week. Soooo hope it continues !!
I’m really enjoying the show. With my schedule I have to DVR it.
The characters are interesting and I love that it’s set in Miami! I think Daniel and Noa have great chemistry. It will be interesting to see where the other relationships go as well – especially Natalie’s now that she’s out. Looks like there might also be something brewing with the Goofy Mateo and Sourpuss Vanessa and with Lewis’s health. And I really love the parents – great chemistry there as well. I will keep watching – fingers crossed that it gets renewed.
I’m warming up to the female lead (Noa?), but the Daniel character is so dull and lifeless, I can’t imagine why anyone would be interested in him. I still like the little sister and the ex, so I suppose I could just fast-forward through Daniel’s scenes?
point is that he’s a dutiful son, as evidenced by the “car” he drives.
You can be “dutiful” and interesting at the same time, yes?
What would make him more interesting? He’s honest, helpful, caring and seems to behave appropriately at all times. He could get sucked into the ‘celebrity lifestyle’, but seems to have a better head on his shoulders and avoids those traps. To me that is interesting and refreshing, given the behavior by some of these celebrities.
I watched the original Baker and the Beauty and compared to this travesty it was a masterpiece. The main characters have the chemistry of 2 frozen fish. I will not watch the rest of it, actually I didn’t finish the first episode. I think the cast can go back and take more acting classes.
I enjoyed the premiere
I found the two leads to be among the least interesting characters here. I’ll give this another chance to see if the characters of the little sister and the ex-girlfriend are developed. If not, bye-bye.
