The cast of The Cosby Show recently reunited for TV Land Awards, where they were given the Impact Award. That TV series was incredibly popular in its day but many don’t know that it wasn’t the first sitcom to bear Bill Cosby’s name.
The Bill Cosby Show was the comedian’s first foray into television after his successful run on I Spy, costarring with Robert Culp. It debuted in September of 1969 and ran for two seasons, totaling 52 episodes.
In the show, Cosby plays bachelor Chet Kincaid, a physical education teacher in Los Angeles. Most episodes revolve around Chet’s experiences around the school, sometimes substituting for absent instructors. Unlike many other comedies of the era, The Bill Cosby Show didn’t use a laugh track.

I wonder how they picked the ten “best” episodes for this set?
This wasn’t his best, but any Cosby is better than most others.
