The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been renewed through the 2019-2020 television season, which will be the show’s 17th. The syndicated TV series’ early renewal comes from ten NBC Owned and Operated (O&O) stations. The comic’s syndicated daytime talk show had previously been renewed through the 2016-2017 television season.
Variety says, “The early renewal is a sign of the show’s importance to the NBC O&Os, which cover New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Miami, San Diego and Hartford, Conn.”

“For more than a decade, Ellen has anchored the daytime lineups of the NBC-owned stations, offering our viewers a great afternoon show, delivering a strong lead in for our early evening newscasts and helping to launch new hits,” said Valari Staab, President, NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations. The new hits Staab is referring to include talker Steve Harvey, which has done well paired with Ellen.
“Day in and day out Ellen delivers the best show on television,” said Ken Werner, President [Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution]. “Ellen and her team produce a completely unique and exciting hour, which is appointment television for viewers everywhere.”

Ellen should never be cancelled. She inspires me to keep going simply by her kindness. I watch one video per day as I wake in the morning. I need to know that good people are in the world and she demonstrates this.
I use to watch it until she got so political with her guests and rhetoric. I don’t want to know about their liberal views. We watched to be entertained. Now I just surf by that channel when she is on.
What people’s sexual orientation is has nothing to do with how they live other parts of their life. Cancelling the show is truly stupid. She’s great fun to watch and, being house bound, I enjoy her show every afternoon. If her being a lesbian annoys anyone, he/she doesn’t have to watch.
Ellen is a national treasure! She is a wonderful amazing person and shows real kindness to the world. For one hour a day she generates so much love in the world. I look forward to her warmth and humor and energy everyday. She is my one hour escape from the ugliness of the world. Ellen should do what makes her happy. She deserves it more than anyone.
She should never be cancelled. With all the turmoil in America going on now Ellen is a safe place to go relax and have fun. She is the therapy for the nation!
I can’t imagine the Ellen Show not being a part of our entertainment.

I am a big fan of Ellen and watch her show every day. The days I’m going to be out I tape it and watch two the next day. I like the people she has on the show from the every day person off the street to the President of The United States. I also like Twitch he adds a lot to the show, I only wish I had the moves he does.
I love the show I never miss it .it is a great show I hope that it is never cancelled that would be a big mistake and a lost ed keep ellen going am so glad she is before dr phil am not a fan of this show at all ellen really inspires people and she is so giving so don’t take her off of t.v so many people will be heart broken
