It appears that this cooking show is done. The Good Dish TV series has been cancelled so, there won’t be a second season — at least in its current form.
Airing in first-run syndication, The Good Dish premiered on January 14th of this year as a replacement to The Dr. Oz Show. The latter series was brought to a close after 13 seasons when host Mehmet Oz announced he would run for a U.S. Senate seat in Pennsylvania.
Hosted by Oz’s daughter Daphne, a natural foods chef, with culinary expert Gail Simmons and chef Jamika Pessoahe, The Good Dish is an expansion of Daphne’s weekly cooking segment on Dr. Oz. The series sought to present easy-to-recreate recipes, simple shortcuts, money-saving tips, must-have trends, and effortless how-tos.
Producer Sony Pictures Television had tried to sell a similar show in syndication in 2019 without success. Reportedly, Sony TV is exploring options to continue The Good Dish via cable or a streaming outlet.

Geez the show just started the good dish. I’m sad to see it go. I think it could have been a great show it taught you a lot about cooking made easy. What the heck happened?
They don’t give me shoes any time to gain an audience any more. Some of the BEST (Mash) had very poor ratings.
As far as the show I’ve gotten quite a few good ideas, recipes, beauty & health tips.
And WHEN it’s on makes a difference too. I had to hunt to find it. Not every shows a winner, but name one that is. I LIKE it.

The ladies all talk at the same time…..it becomes irritating. Not a lot of cooking happening.. recipes and kitchen hacks are rudimentary..

The good dish was an okay show but nothing to write home about. I feel that it was put on with Daphne Oz just to keep the Oz name in front of people while her father runs for Senate in Pennsylvania. It’s a sneaky way to get the Oz name out there. Free publicity for Mehmet Oz, her father without having to give equal time to his opponent. Some of us are not fooled.
Not a great cooking show at all. Nothing they fixed inspired me and it takes a lot more than the addition of a few spices or vegetables to a simple tried and true recipe to really revamp it. Also, there are far too many unhealthy choices and an overload of carbs in everything they fix, which may be why the hosts could stand to lose a few pounds.
