It appears that this cooking show is done. The Good Dish TV series has been cancelled so, there won’t be a second season — at least in its current form.
Airing in first-run syndication, The Good Dish premiered on January 14th of this year as a replacement to The Dr. Oz Show. The latter series was brought to a close after 13 seasons when host Mehmet Oz announced he would run for a U.S. Senate seat in Pennsylvania.
Hosted by Oz’s daughter Daphne, a natural foods chef, with culinary expert Gail Simmons and chef Jamika Pessoahe, The Good Dish is an expansion of Daphne’s weekly cooking segment on Dr. Oz. The series sought to present easy-to-recreate recipes, simple shortcuts, money-saving tips, must-have trends, and effortless how-tos.
Producer Sony Pictures Television had tried to sell a similar show in syndication in 2019 without success. Reportedly, Sony TV is exploring options to continue The Good Dish via cable or a streaming outlet.
What do you think? Have you watched The Good Dish TV series? Are you sorry to hear that it won’t be returning for the 2022-23 television season?
Disgusting to watch unsanitary practices in kitchen, touching long loose hair, or brushing out of face (if a problem suggest pony tails).bare hands, unwashed handling and mixing uncooked food. The participants all talk at once and difficult to understand them while eating food in mouth. They continue eating the demo food. Not taking a quick small sample. It’s not an “Eating Show”. Their appearance in kitchen look like they are cooking in party dresses, no aprons ….don’t provide the appearance of really cooking food in a real life situation. Too much made of morning cocktails, to influence housewives that may… Read more »
Oh my the show was not disgusting ! at all ,that is a pretty strong comment. the cast are not professionals, it was a fun relaxing program to watch.
I enjoy the show very much. But there are times when they be excited and talk over each other.
That Gail kept touching her hair while touching food. Gross. Then I saw 2 nasty talking females named Cat and Nat. Couldn’t control the F word. Grow up. I wanted to watch a cooking show, not how to talk in front of teenagers, and everyone was laughing. Control yourself. And keep your hands off your nasty hair while cooking. Eww
I enjoy the good dish. I was looking for something to replace The Chew which I used to love and this almost as good.
Sorry to see it go. Good simple recipes, tips and very entertaining.
I love it. Finally a cooking show for just plain cooks. Great idea for a show. Ladies have a chemistry too.
I like the show. Took a few episodes for the hosts to get in the groove. Love the real questions answered and occasional spill which is kitchen reality.
This is obviously a thrown together last minute hot mess. Too boring to watch for one hour. Also, “experts” are not so expert. Don’t know why Gail Simmons has any celebrity status, nevermind the other two. Gail is barely tolerable on other shows, why give her her own venue?
Great show! Love the recipes. I hope they are going to stream it.
This show is silly stopped watching they need a new format why was Jamica even on the show The Good Dish
I don’t like the show. Everyone is always talking at the same time and this is quite annoying. The Dish was good when it was on the OZ show once a week. I always watched it and enjoyed it, but the show does not live up to the weekly segment. I won’t be upset if it is cancelled or at least down to just Daphne.
Please continue as it has great food ideas and heart of friendly hosts.
Like the show. Powers that be hate to see women having fun being women
So untrue! Many successful, talented women have made an impression in cooking and food. This is simply a lackluster food show.
I totally agree with you Dianne , the show was fun to watch I HATE TO SEE IT GO!
I only recently found this show.
Give it a chance
I loved this show. It does not seem like it was on long enough to give it a chance .
