It appears that this cooking show is done. The Good Dish TV series has been cancelled so, there won’t be a second season — at least in its current form.
Airing in first-run syndication, The Good Dish premiered on January 14th of this year as a replacement to The Dr. Oz Show. The latter series was brought to a close after 13 seasons when host Mehmet Oz announced he would run for a U.S. Senate seat in Pennsylvania.
Hosted by Oz’s daughter Daphne, a natural foods chef, with culinary expert Gail Simmons and chef Jamika Pessoahe, The Good Dish is an expansion of Daphne’s weekly cooking segment on Dr. Oz. The series sought to present easy-to-recreate recipes, simple shortcuts, money-saving tips, must-have trends, and effortless how-tos.
Producer Sony Pictures Television had tried to sell a similar show in syndication in 2019 without success. Reportedly, Sony TV is exploring options to continue The Good Dish via cable or a streaming outlet.
What do you think? Have you watched The Good Dish TV series? Are you sorry to hear that it won’t be returning for the 2022-23 television season?
I am very disappointed to hear this show is being canceled!
It is not only extremely informative and practical but a lot of fun!
Hope this decision can be reversed!
This series is top notch for preparing menus, recipes and information that is needed and not readily available. Daphne is a fresh food advocate which is first & foremost for my viewing preferences. Please continue this series.
Cannot say I am surprised or sorry to see it go. Flowing hair over food preparation, constant eating, and not just tiny test tasting, licking of fingers and delving back into the food, etc. Really, a bit of a turn-off. Overall, less than professional chef best practices. Bye-bye!
Sorry, but I found the show annoying! I never saw three hosts eat so much food. They seemed to get bigger with each episode. Daphne could not seem to put a spoon or fork down, even when one of her colleagues had moved on to another demonstration. She was off on the sideline still chomping away; so distracting. This may be harsh and I never had such a negative reaction, truly.
Sad to see it go. Looked forward to watching it at 3.
It grew on me as their chemistry evolved. I would watch on another outlet.
Absolutely love this show. I hate that it has been cancelled.
I hate to see this show canceled!! I was really starting to get into it!! Specially when they cooked healthy food!!
So disappointed being cancelled. Concerning to me was that it was on an off station and not a second channel/time that could watch it. Would of liked having two times/channel options when can’t watch at a certain time.
My husband and I loved this show. He doesn’t watch cooking shows but would always watch it with me. Please bring back.
Who decides this? This is crazy. Such a good show. Their website leaves a lot to be desired though.
I truly hope the good dish survives. I found it very entertaining.
I enjoyed the show. Enough talk shows already.
Hated it. So happy it finally was cancelled. Just so boring. There’s enough cooking shows that are way better. Another drama based talk show would be better in that time slot.
Really liked the shows concept Liked Daphni on the Chew BUT in this show she was too domineering. She was always leaning on something or holding onto something. As for alcoholic drinks.. too many drinks especially in Daphnis hands.
What are you kidding me??? Canceling show?? ridiculous!! These gals are great as well as giving good little tips. For 40+ years i have been cooking and baking and appreciate people who are on their game. Maybe give them another time slot ? Just a shame. i am not a daytime tv watcher but when i could i would look for this show.
