It appears that this cooking show is done. The Good Dish TV series has been cancelled so, there won’t be a second season — at least in its current form.
Airing in first-run syndication, The Good Dish premiered on January 14th of this year as a replacement to The Dr. Oz Show. The latter series was brought to a close after 13 seasons when host Mehmet Oz announced he would run for a U.S. Senate seat in Pennsylvania.
Hosted by Oz’s daughter Daphne, a natural foods chef, with culinary expert Gail Simmons and chef Jamika Pessoahe, The Good Dish is an expansion of Daphne’s weekly cooking segment on Dr. Oz. The series sought to present easy-to-recreate recipes, simple shortcuts, money-saving tips, must-have trends, and effortless how-tos.
Producer Sony Pictures Television had tried to sell a similar show in syndication in 2019 without success. Reportedly, Sony TV is exploring options to continue The Good Dish via cable or a streaming outlet.
What do you think? Have you watched The Good Dish TV series? Are you sorry to hear that it won’t be returning for the 2022-23 television season?
Very disappointed this show was cancelled. It was fun and informative. My favourite cooking show ever. Please reconsider and bring The Good Dish back
I love good dish. Sorry it will not be on next season
I am very disappointed to hear the Good Dish show was cancelled. I watched it daily and loved it. So sorry for these lovely ladies.
I am shocked to hear that the show has been cancelled. It is my favorite morning show. Having three hosts is wonderful. I love how well they interact. The recipes are great too. I’m very sad the show won’t return.
I am very disappointed. Love that show. I hope everyone writes ctv to bring it back. Please write in .
I am absolutely gob smacked‼️ My absolute go to, favourite foodie show ever‼️ So disappointed that this series has been canceled. This has ruined my mornings as I get ready for work…. Sorry ladies, really enjoyed you while you were there
I’m disappointed the show will not be returning for a second season!
I am so grateful to find The Good Dish show. I have been watching the show for over two months now. They have really found the comfort zone to present a zippy fun show about serving “The Good Dish”. The recipes are top notch along with special top notch guests. Please consider not cancelling the show and keep it running for another season. Your three hostesses are fantastic and bring so much to daytime entertainment & knowledge. I love all three of the. Equally ❣️❣️❣️❣️
Please please keep this great show going.
Very disappointed
Those ladies talked to fast and obviously don’t eat that kind of food. What about diabetic options? Having said that I was a regular viewer.
Didn’t care for the show at first but it grew on me. They seemed to get better at not talking over each other and giggling all the time. I liked Daphne and Gail, but Jamika seemed to be pretentious and insincere. Daphne appeared to be the central character but many of these shows do have a primary host. I would like t9 see something like The Chew again.
I like the show. Sorry to see it go. Will be turning my tv off at one as soon as it no longer airs
No difference whether it stays or goes. All the food is extremely fattening nothing really healthy conscience. Would be ok if the good content was healthier. In light of hearing what oz stands for glass hood show is gone forever
I loved The Good Dish! Looked so forward to it daily!!! Can’t believe it was taken off air! Daphne is such a natural! Love love love her! This sucks!
I’ve tried every morning to watch The Dish, but I find it to be the most unhealthy cooking show ever on TV, especially knowing I am an avid viewer of the Dr Oz previous program and every other cooking program. It is beyond my understanding that a daughter of a well know cardiac thoracic surgeon promotes such food on a daily basis. I’ve working in the medical profession, volunteered on emergency squads and came from the north east but now last 19 years live in south east and see so many with cardiac and diabetes passing away. I wished Daphne’s… Read more »
