TV show description:
In this comedy series, Nathan Miller (Will Arnett) is a recent divorced local news reporter. He’s looking forward to living the life of a single man — until his parents’ marital problems unexpectedly derail his plans.
After Nathan breaks the news of his divorce to his parents — Carol (Margo Martindale) and Tom Miller (Beau Bridges) — his father is inspired to follow his lead. He stuns his family when he leaves his wife of 43 years.
Already in shock, Nathan is even more aghast when his vibrant but meddlesome mother decides to move in with him. Meanwhile, his absent-minded father decides to impose upon Nathan’s happily-married sister, Debbie (Jayma Mays), her husband Adam (Nelson Franklin), and their daughter Mikayla (Eve Moon).
Ray (JB Smoove), Nathan’s best friend and news cameraman, was excited to be Nathan’s wingman in the dating scene, but Carol manages to even cramp his style.
Now, as Nathan and his sister settle in with their truly impossible parents, they both wonder just how long the aggravating adjustment period is going to last.
Episode #34 — Hero
When Nathan decides he should have a better relationship with his niece Mikayla, he agrees to use his celebrity status to help Debbie and Adam get her into a popular school. Meanwhile, when Kip develops side effects from his sleeping pills, Carol and Tom agree to help him kick the habit by sleep-training him.
First aired: July 18, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like The Millers TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled? Why do you think it didn’t survive long enough to see a third season?
The cancellation of the The Millers is just horrible!!!! Please put them in another time slot.
I love this show! I have to watch On Demand because I watch something at the same time on Monday nights. Last season there was no conflict for me and I could watch it when it was originally aired. I love Sean Hayes and I am happy to see him again on TV. Please don’t cancel this show.
This show really suck!!
I love this show and do not think it should be cancelled. We have enough drama on TV we need these comedies to break up our drama in our lives. PLEASE DO NOT CANCELL
I love The Millers, it is funny, clean and worth watching.
Can’t these network honchos give the series more time to prove itself?
I liked it. Yes it was fluffy and light but it was like a palate cleanser for the shows that are deep and thought provoking. Sometimes you just want to laugh. Plus I enjoyed seeing Beau Bridges in a comedy.
this show is great. just needed a better time slot like on wednesday or thursday.
I love the show. Just not crazy about the Sean Hayes character. He can go, but please keep the show.
Please don’t stop the show we have lost to many already.
the sit com SUCKS!
I’m going to follow up by saying that I think the networks feel that people have nothing better to do anymore but sit around and watch shows. For example, I love Modern Family, however, I haven’t had the time to watch in over 2+ years. I’m busy…Even with DVR…I’m busy…Stop cancelling shows and going with these stupid fake “younger kid” concepts. Everyone acknowledges that as a society we’re not home as much. Sometimes it really does take time to catch up with what’s going on. Again, love Sons of Anarchy, haven’t had time to catch up with Sam Crow in… Read more »
I believe one of the other comments touched specifically on why this show is being cancelled – it doesn’t involve, sex, drugs, sleaze or entitlement. It is adorable…the chemistry is great, the actors are each strong and there is real humor, rather than trash.
Please don’t cancel the Millers. It is an intelligent show with terrific actors and I enjoy watching it. Why would you cancel it?
After about a year I finally had the time to sit and watch the show. I thoroughly enjoyed it! That means…it will be cancelled.
This was an adorable series. Why do all the cute and clean shows go and all the nasty, stupid ones stay? Bad Move ……
I think the Millers had a new concept and it was very funny!
