In this comedy series, Nathan Miller (Will Arnett) is a recent divorced local news reporter. He’s looking forward to living the life of a single man — until his parents’ marital problems unexpectedly derail his plans.
After Nathan breaks the news of his divorce to his parents — Carol (Margo Martindale) and Tom Miller (Beau Bridges) — his father is inspired to follow his lead. He stuns his family when he leaves his wife of 43 years.
Already in shock, Nathan is even more aghast when his vibrant but meddlesome mother decides to move in with him. Meanwhile, his absent-minded father decides to impose upon Nathan’s happily-married sister, Debbie (Jayma Mays), her husband Adam (Nelson Franklin), and their daughter Mikayla (Eve Moon).
Ray (JB Smoove), Nathan’s best friend and news cameraman, was excited to be Nathan’s wingman in the dating scene, but Carol manages to even cramp his style.
Now, as Nathan and his sister settle in with their truly impossible parents, they both wonder just how long the aggravating adjustment period is going to last.
Episode #34 — Hero
When Nathan decides he should have a better relationship with his niece Mikayla, he agrees to use his celebrity status to help Debbie and Adam get her into a popular school. Meanwhile, when Kip develops side effects from his sleeping pills, Carol and Tom agree to help him kick the habit by sleep-training him.
First aired: July 18, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like The Millers TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled? Why do you think it didn’t survive long enough to see a third season?
I love The Millers! One of the funniest shows on t.v. It has a great cast and story line. please bring it back!
Say it ain’t so!!!!
It’s one of the very few sit-com’s I like. It really is funny. I love all the deception within the family and how it’s always for the ‘best’ of another member. SO much like my family of do gooders! Love is surrounded by dysfunctional purpose.
One of the best TV shows.
Please bring it back.
We LOVE the Millers!! Get Rid Of Two Broke Girls And Keep The Millers!!!
Disappointed the Millers is being cancelled!
The Millers , is one of my favorite shows.
I know a lot of people didn’t know that it had
changed to Mondays. All of my family &
friends watch & enjoy the dysfunctional, yet
loving family. I think we can all relate to the
characters known as the Millers. It is well written,
& has a good balance of humor, & identifiable
situations. I hope CBS will reconsider their decision
not to cancel this great comedy!
Bring them back!!! The Millers was a hilarious show and I can’t believe they cancelled it. This is WAY better than all of the reality crap currently on TV. Will Arnett is my favorite.
Sorry to see it cancelled!
I LOVE this show. I don’t understand how it could be cancelled. cable, please pick it up. with the addition sean hayes I find it even funnier. love the whole cast.
I completely agree. The show was already hilarious, but adding Sean Hayes really was the right move. Don’t know why the network is so quick to cancel.
one of the unfunniest shows ever. a complete mystery that it lasted this long.
I really like this show…saddened that Monday night is empty again except for football
I love this show, sorry to see it go!!
I think The Millers is one of the funnier shows. Sean Hayes is hilarious as are the others. It’s funny that food tasting shows are kept while some of the funny shows are cancelled.
I look forward to Monday nights with the Millers! So disappointing to lose another good show……..
I LOVE this show!! DVR it every week, funny, show about a crazy family. CABLE pls pick this show up. Not letting the show at least finish sweeps month is not cool.
This stinks!!!
Disappointment to see this show cancel. Like the premise and the actors. It had some very funny moments. Something light and fun, we need more of that type of entertainments.
