In this comedy series, Nathan Miller (Will Arnett) is a recent divorced local news reporter. He’s looking forward to living the life of a single man — until his parents’ marital problems unexpectedly derail his plans.
After Nathan breaks the news of his divorce to his parents — Carol (Margo Martindale) and Tom Miller (Beau Bridges) — his father is inspired to follow his lead. He stuns his family when he leaves his wife of 43 years.
Already in shock, Nathan is even more aghast when his vibrant but meddlesome mother decides to move in with him. Meanwhile, his absent-minded father decides to impose upon Nathan’s happily-married sister, Debbie (Jayma Mays), her husband Adam (Nelson Franklin), and their daughter Mikayla (Eve Moon).
Ray (JB Smoove), Nathan’s best friend and news cameraman, was excited to be Nathan’s wingman in the dating scene, but Carol manages to even cramp his style.
Now, as Nathan and his sister settle in with their truly impossible parents, they both wonder just how long the aggravating adjustment period is going to last.
Episode #34 — Hero
When Nathan decides he should have a better relationship with his niece Mikayla, he agrees to use his celebrity status to help Debbie and Adam get her into a popular school. Meanwhile, when Kip develops side effects from his sleeping pills, Carol and Tom agree to help him kick the habit by sleep-training him.
First aired: July 18, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like The Millers TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled? Why do you think it didn’t survive long enough to see a third season?
I agree some other shows could be cancelled and yet are on their 4th or 5th seasons.
is the millers coming back or it was cancelled, thankyou,
It was cancelled but they may run the remaining unaired episodes.
If they decide to air episodes that we have not seen. We will take it. Better than none at all. Such a funny program. Hope they reconsider airing again on regular basis. They are all so funny
When they determine ratings, do they take into consideration On Demand and anyone watching after it originally airs. Because of the night change, I was having to watch it at another time. My family loved this show and I think it should have been given a chance to the end of this season anyway.
Please bring The Miller’s back. My family misses it! Moving it screwed it up. Now a quality comedy is gone. I hope someone else picks it up.
I love the Millers. Why would you take it off the air? It’s refreshing, funny, and the characters are great! Please bring it back!
Bring the Millers back and get rid of 2 broke girls!
Why is it that fun, entertaining “sitcoms” get cancelled just like that, and stupid, who gives a d— reality shows get all the hype. I just don’t get it. Please give “The Millers” another chance. You don’t see talented actors such as these every day, like we should!
The problem was that CBS decided to change the show’s lineup from Thursdays to Mondays. It had to compete with Dancing With the Stars, Monday Night Football, etc… too much competition for that night. It would still be going strong had they kept it on Thursdays.
Bring it back CBS…
We would look forward to watching it each week. One of the funniest shows on TV…made us laugh and laugh. This is what we need today. Do not understand why they keep some of these other programs on, but yet cancel attention getters like this. Too bad.
Please bring back the Millers, what a funny show! I really enjoyed watching it
Please bring by the Millers, I really love the show
I really do not understand why such a funny and entertaining show would be cancelled, it seems that the only thing that stays on the air anymore has to have violence and or nudity. Shame on you CBS for canceling a show that truly was enjoyable to watch. Will Arnett is hilarious by the way. I can’t wait to see what show he ends up in. Bet it will be on a better network than CBS.
Why think of canceling such a cute show such as the Millers? This show was really funny! You keep trash shows like Two Broke Girls!!… Why?! I really love The Millers! Please bring it back.
PLEASE KEEP THE MILLERS ON TV——-THEY ARE SO FUNNY!!!!!!
The Millers was the only network television that I watched. I am disappointed because was refreshing in comparison with the terrible network television shows. I hope to find it on television again. Maybe another network channel or cable channel would be interested in putting a good television show on TV.
You kept ignorant shows like Mom and you cancelled a great show like the Millers? I’m disgusted.
