The CW is starting over on Monday nights. They’ve cancelled both Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People after one season apiece.
On The Tomorrow People, a teenager (Robbie Amell) discovers that he has paranormal abilities. He also learns that others like him have gone into hiding because they’re being hunted by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. The rest of the cast includes Luke Mitchell, Peyton List, Aaron Yoo, Mark Pellegrino, and Madeleine Mantock.
The drama debuted back in October and aired on Wednesday nights, paired with the network’s popular Arrow series. It performed well in the beginning but the ratings fell over the course of the season, dropping as low as a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.24 million viewers.
The series moved to Monday nights and lost even more viewers. In last April, The Tomorrow People hit a series low, drawing just 760,000 viewers.
The season (now series) finale, which aired this week, left plenty of story opportunities for a second season but it won’t be happening.

I am watching it on Netflix and I am sad to see there is no other season. Would love to see a second season of this show. Ive heard of fans being able to rally a network into producing more seasons of a show that was cancelled. It went on to have 5 seasons. That is what should happen here.
Watching the tomorrow people on Netflix episode after episode was awesome! It was totally addicting. The writers left so many more possible story plots. I’m really disappointed no going to enjoy another season on Netflix. I hope the big wigs reconsider

Just finished watching the series. A cross between movies push and jumper, it had real potential. How do you cancel it after investing so much into it for viewers? Firefly made the same mistake, don’t follow in their footsteps, bring it back.

I loved this show and have just found out there’s no second series. Gutted is an understatement. One of my favourite TV series for years!
They should keep going with this show. My friend showed it to me on netflix and I spent all winter break watching it. It had great acters and had a lot of untapped potential.
