NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

Big mistake cancelling the Village. It was a great show.
C’mon NBC, why do you axe good shows so quickly. I loved this show as much as “This is Us” and “A Million Little Things.” So sick of your network giving up on potential winners like “The Enemy Within” and this one. Please give “The Village” one more chance!
Why ???? That’s a great show ! I just don’t understand when a good show starts it then gets canceled.

I really enjoyed that show and do hope NBC will bring it back. It had engaging stories and an excellent cast.
I am so, so, disappointed that THE VILLAGE has been cancelled. Yes, the show seemed to get confused at times in a manner that felt as if the writer’s weren’t quite certain of what directions to take with this character or that one; yet I felt that ‘they’d’ get it right much sooner than later. There was so much promise for a good development of this new series. Loved the focus on creativity.
Too bad .. and so long.

So sad! This was a new favorite and my mom and I, along with my older two kids, looked forward to this show every week! I hope someone else picks it up!

So sad this has been canceled. Really enjoyed how they ran the stories of all the “family”.

Finished season 1 of The Village and am absolutely enthralled with it! This is my newest favorite show! Please continue it! It is all about the highs and lows in life and real peoples feelings and situations! I can totally relate!
Please rethink and give this another Season! Many of my friends will support it! We live for real life authentic
