NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

These shows were excellent and realistic. It is a shame that the majority of people don’t like shows that are based on real life. These shows were kind, sweet and warm and realistic. We are losing so many good shows just because of the opinion of the majority.

Please do not cancel this series…one of the best series ever. So true to real life and yet heart-warming and realistic but not overly dramatic. Please reconsider.

Was one of my favorite shows ever! Real-life, positive, not filled with raunchy scenes or language. Can’t believe it was cancelled!

Please don’t cancel The Village it’s the most down to earth show I’ve gotten hooked on in a long time. It almost like a family within the village setting. I love the show please don’t cancel it.
Please don’t cancel The Village it a show about real life, I’ve enjoyed every show. I have recorded every show and when not working in my gardens I watch them. If you need to take a show off take The Story of Us, please keep The Village one it is about down to earth life. We don’t need any more reality shows, that come one you know people will do anything for money.

I just discovered it & binge watched it on Hulu! Fell in LOVE, & now I find out it is canceled??! My heart hurts from this news…I truly loved this show & am sucked in!!
