NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

Better than This Is Us. BAD move by the network!
I “LOVE” this show! They need to bring it back,and properly close (ALL) story lines with each chacter,if they have “ANY” respect! This show had so much feeling and compassion for all that is happening in today’s world. Young and old chacter’s with true heart! “Please bring it back!!
I loved this show just as much as This Is Us. I don’t understand why networks put out new shows and don’t allow at least 2 seasons to see how they do! The village is an incredible show and should be given a chance to let the show capture more viewers as it will.

Yes I would have watched season 2. I found out about thew show through a friend season 1 was down to the last 4 shows. So I went to cable channels to watch it from the beginning. My husband saw the last 4 with me and he was in to the show too. I think this show is better then ” This Is Us” and that’s a hard one to top. Sorry to hear it’s been cancelled. Bad decision made by the network.

NO!!! Say it isn’t so. We loved this show. My entire department at work watched this show and we would come in the morning after and discuss. We couldn’t wait until the next episode. We have so many questions after the finale that are now left unanswered. This is such a disappointment. NBC, shame on you. Maybe this will be one that NETFLIX picks up.

This is so sad. I didn’t realize the last episode was the finale and have been looking every week to check to see if there was a new episode. So disappointing that it was not renewed. I was so invested in each character and story line, only to never know:( my vote is to bring The Village back…PLEASE!!!!

OH NOOOO, I cannot believe The Village was cancelled! Loved this show as much as This Is Us and A Million Little Things! So disappointed to know we vested time and our emotions into this show and they just cancel it! Please re-consider!
