NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

My wife loved The Village and hates that it has been cancelled. I watched with her and thought it was a good show also,but like most of the time they will cancel the good stuff and keepall the garbage.

My wife and I were very disappointed to learn of the cancellation of The Village. Good dramatic programs are at a premium, and to often replaced by game or “reality” shows. I would date The Village on the same level as This Is Us. While the finale was good, there is so much more story left to tell and great acting by an excellent cast.
Please don’t cancel the village, it was just getting interesting, you didn’t give it a chance

They didn’t give it a chance. Ok maybe NBC is the network to stop watching all together. It’s all political…him what are they replacing that time slot with.
So sad! But they will keep stupid shows with no meaning such as survivor, bachelorette, etc…

FINALLY something worthwhile to watch besides This is Us and it’s cancelled???? This show is the reason I downloaded the NBC app! I am sooo disappointed. Great characters and great intertwined stories. BRING IT BACK PLEASE!
Loved The Village it was about people that have problems and how they deal with them as a family.
Move it to another night like Monday or Thursday
I’m so upset “The Village” was canceled. My daughter & I watched it every week. We loved it! Please reconsider. A lot of my co-workers loved and watched it too! It was the conversation around the lunch table
Please somone pick up a second season. This was an incredible show.
