NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.
What do you think? Do you like The Village TV show? Are you sorry that it’s been cancelled. Would you have watched season two on NBC?
I’m very upset that the village won’t be coming back for a second season. i’m also upset that they cancel abby’s as well. 2 great shows.
Oh, no!! I love the Village and the characters and was excited to see what happened next. I am terribly sad that more viewers didn’t watch so the stories could continue.
I am so disappointed that the Village was cancelled. It was my favorite show. Beat out This Is Us for me.
So dissapointed!! Please bring it back!!

I am very disappointed that this show was not renewed. It was one of the better programs on tv. Please get this back on the air. It showed so many different relationships and true friendships. Great story line relating real life situations.
So sad to read that the Village Series has been cancelled after just one Season! Please , please bring Season 2 back!
I’m really upset that The Village” was cancelled. It had things that most shows don’t deal with *i.e. disabled veteran with his army buddy his disabled dog & how he deals with PTSD. The crocheted heart was a awesome start & the reason for it. So many topics addressed. It was a show I never wanted to miss each week. It was such a sweet story. Please bring it back.
I was beyond disappointed to hear of the cancelation of “The Village” Please bring it back!
I loved the village, yes bring it back. I can’t believe after one season it would be cancelled.
Bring back The Village. Maybe a more popular time slot will help the ratings. Good social messages makes it a must watch. Thanks Bruce
Was looking forward to the second season of “The Village” as I enjoyed it tremendously! Very unique and entertaining as each character brought the story into full circle doing life together. It is difficult to find any good TV programs currently.
This is very disappointing. They always cancel the good shows
I am so sad that The Village was cancelled .We all as humans need a little village in our lives .The storyline was beautiful and I fell in with all the main characters .If NBC or any other network would pick it up I would definitely be watching it .
The Village was the only show in several years that I actually made an effort to get home in time to watch or made sure it was being taped. I was shocked and very disappointed to hear it had been canceled. I loved this show given the multitude of simultaneous story lines coming from almost every character in the cast and the diversity of those characters and their stories. I’d never in my 58 years ever taken the time to send an email to a network until I learned this show had been dropped. Now months later as I see… Read more »

I loved that show and had no idea until just now! I was looking to see when the Fall season would begin! Why is it that they always cancel great shows and continue to air of the reality TV? I am very disappointed in NBC, this was a bad decision!
