NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

I really loved the village! It needs to come back! I have been waiting for it to come back and now I see it’s been cancelled! So disappointed! Bring the village back please!
I the Village! Bring it back! What do we have to do to re-instate this program. I looked forward to watching every week to see what would happen next and we are in a cliffhanger. So sad save this one, it just began… I recall something similar happened to Greys Anatomy they changed their minds. Change your mind it’s a wise decision
OMG!! I LOVE this show and have been waiting for the return, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring The Village back!! I am so disappointed, I even got my husband into it and he has been asking when it was starting again. Please bring it back, thank you. Beth C.
Really liked The Village. I am very sad to see it’s been cancelled. There are very few shows I even watch anymore but that WAS one of them. Hope NBC reconsiders.

I am so upset this show was cancelled. I came across it by accident and after watching for 20
Minutes I was hooked. The characters we’re all down to earth people that anyone could relate to. There was someone for all age groups. I have been wondering and looking for it’s return. When I saw this article pertaining to it be cancelled I can’t tell you how upsetting it was to read. I hope they reconsider.
My grandmother and I loved this show!!! Why would they cancel it?? Can you at least do a finale that brings everything to a close. I’m sure if it came back on people would watch.

I’m so sad that The Village was cancelled!!! I loved that show and Couldn’t wait to see season two the characters are wonderful did Roy win it was just a great show. The show needs to come back on either this network or somebody else needs to pick it up because it was such a quality show!

I was so looking forward to the village second season. At least do a final show! Actors were great and loved the storyline!
