NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

I was searching because it wasn’t recorded on my DVR like the rest of my shows that started. So disappointed it was not renewed for season 2! 🙁
I just found this out and can’t believe it, The Village is cancelled, how can this be, I loved that show and looked forward to watching it every week. Definitely was my new favorite show and couldn’t wait for season 2 to start, please bring back The Village please!
I am so sad that NBC canceled TheVillage. I really liked this show and was looking forward to the next season! I am very disappointed!

I cannot believe they canceled the village for the second season. It was a wonderful show and I’m so sad that it’s not returning and I wish NBC would reconsider.

So disappointed – great show. So close to real people with real problems but it was so nice to see lots of people helping each other! That’s what our world needs!!
I was looking this week for the new season but was disappointed to find it had been canceled. I thought this was one of the best on tv this year. All of the cast members were fantastic. Their story lines were very well done. I felt so connected to this show….soooooo sad.

The Village was one of my favorite shows last season. It was all about real people in real situations. I could truly relate to this show. I was really looking forward to seeing season 2. Please revive The Village.
