NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

NBC why would you cancel a hit show this show was a family show. Millions watched not including those who binged watch season by season. There are to many great shows being cancelled. CBS cancelled Hawaii 5 O and people were upset it is now on it’s 10th season.
NBC this show should be brought back stop showing ages 18-49. People from 6-100’s watch TV not just people in the age bracket you use. It is getting to the point where we’re about to cancel cable. Most of the shows we watch get cancelled why trash shows are left on.
Is there a way to protest it being cancelled? I loved watching this show!
I loved the village and I’m so upset that it has been cancelled! I hope NBC brings it back.
It was a great show! I was so looking forward to following the characters! Such a disappointment.

I was very upset to find out your program the village wasn’t renewed. I normally don’t watch these types of series but this one was exceptional. The apartment building with all the tenants and their different lives brought me back to my city life. Each actor was excellent they got into the stories with such feeling I wish you would consider bringing it back some of the things you have on there now just need to be deleted
What else could this show had accomplished? I was very saddened to hear about no 2nd season.. one of the best ever shows in prime time TV and it didn’t need guns, drugs and violence it was real life TV!!

I wish they would do a second season of The Village!!! I think its a wonderful show about caring for one another in a world full of stress. We need more shows like this one!!! Please don’t cancel.

The Village was the best show on tv. Reality shows should have been taken off. They are senseless. The Village is as good as this is us. The writers and actors were great. The story was great. Let’s get it back.

Who is responsible for canceling a show of this caliber? It was one of my family’s favorite shows. I’ve seen a lot of junk shows that are on but you end a great one. I don’t understand!
