TV show description:
An American drama, from creator Mike Daniels, The Village TV show centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least.
Over time, the residents of the Village have forged a powerful bond. They are more than neighbors — they’re friends and a family of choice.
The “Villagers” include Sarah Campbell (McManus) a nurse and single mother of a teenager; Gabe Napolitano (Kagasoff), a young law student; Ana Behzadi (Atias), a mother who fears the reach of ICE will touch her US-born son; military veteran Nick Porter (Christie); and Ron and Patricia Davis (Faison and Toussaint), who anchor the whole gang.
Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
Series Finale:
Episode #10 — I Have Got You
An unexpected event brings Katie (Grace Van Dien), Sarah (Michaela McManus), and Nick (Warren Christie) back into each other’s orbits. Patricia (Lorraine Toussaint) deals with her diagnosis, which leads to an unexpected chance at re-connection for Ron (Frankie Faison). Enzo (Dominic Chianese) enlists Gabe (Daren Kagasoff) to pull off a grand gesture. Ben (Jerod Haynes) faces his future and his past.
First aired: May 21, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like The Village TV series? Should this NBC TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
So sad! Once again a show I enjoy canceled. Please bring it back!
Loved this show .. good to see meaningful storylines about real life hate to see it cancelled. Please bring it back .. hate to see it go.. Finally found a show with heart
I really enjoyed this show. Great writing, good acting, combined real life problems
and how love and friendship help get the characters through. It is a quality show
and SHOULD be renewed for a second season.
WE NEED MORE SHOWS LIKE THIS !!!
I love the village it was a great premise. They should renew it and give it a second chance, good acting, good plot, Just a good show! No guns and battles no shoot them up in car chases just a nice good show. We need more of these types of shows without the violence. We have violence every day on the news we can use a little less on TV shows!
Love this show so disappointed and upset its not renewed hoping another network will pick it up
Very good show 🙂 It’s sad to see it cancelled, NBC has no real clue in what they are doing except not giving shows any chance to even start. It’s happening on most networks these days. I am at a point where I wont watch the first season until I see that’s it’s been renewed for a second. No point getting my hopes up. Thanks a lot NBC
One of the best shows has put out on NBC…please reconsider.
The Village should not be canceled.
Please renew The Village. It is better than This Is Us. Please give it a second season so those who haven’t seen it will have a chance to watch it and I bet they will become fans! The story lines, actors, real life situations drew us in and kept us looking forward to each week’s episode. We at least deserve a second season to resolve the season end cliff hangers. This show deserves to be saved!!!
It’s such crap! One of the best shows that has been on tv in forever and y’all cancel it over ratings. Ratings that you cant actually go by since it doesn’t have a second season to compare ratings to!
Very, very disappointed that they cancelled the best show to hit NBC since This is Us. This is a heartwarming, feel good show enjoyable for the entire family. Yet they keep stupid shows on like Superstore. Shame on you NBC for not giving this another chance!!!
Very disappointed to hear that “The Village” was cancelled. So looked forward every week to watching it. Great writing, wonderful acting. The characters were well formed and in situations not being addressed in other shows. This show needs a second chance!
They cancel The Village and they put a dud on. What are they thinking????
So disappointed..great show, intimate, positive relationships in community. Something we don’t see anymore..too bad.
Since NBC has a track record of canceling shows before they even have a chance of being seen more than a couple of episodes, and have now canceled all but two shows that I watch on their network, when they cancel them, which they will in all likelihood do next season, I will be done even starting to watch a show on their network. No sense in getting vested in a show only to have it chanced a few episodes, or if it is lucky. I won’t be bothered to waste my time. I never watched TV until I got… Read more »
The networks never give shows a chance, too quick to cancel. If a show is not in the 18-34 year age group liking, it’s gone. Well people who are older than 50 or even 60 like shows like The Village, etc. How about pleasing us and get sponsors who target OUR age group. Chances are we have more resources to purchase their products than younger people do.
