How are you dealing with the end of Timeless? Creator Eric Kripke, stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, and more have reacted to NBC’s decision to cancel the TV show.
As reported earlier, the network has cancelled the time travel drama after two seasons. The series follows the unexpected team of a history professor (Abigail Spencer), a soldier (Matt Lanter), and a scientist (Malcolm Barrett) as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime to stop a mysterious villain. The cast also includes Goran Visnjic, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey, and Claudia Doumit.
On Twitter, Kripke, Spencer, Lanter, and more posted their thoughts on NBC‘s cancellation of Timeless:

This was an absolutely fascinating show that was also educational. It is so sad that the networks feel the need to cancel wonderful shows because they aren’t in the top 10. When you have millions of viewers, that should count for more than it does apparently. If nothing else, perhaps the writers could pen a book to finish off the series. That being said, it’s highly unfair to the wonderful cast and crew that worked so hard to make this an amazing hour of great viewing each week.

I loved Timeless, the stories from the writers, the actors and all who made it possible! Yes, maybe we could travel somewhere in time and fix this? I have never been interested in looking back in history until Timeless. I have learned so much. Great show! Bring it back!
Sooo disappointed that the 3rd season has been cancelled of Timeless Please the least NBC could do is a movie to close out a finominal series and great story lines. !!!!

Too many shows now are all about death and gore, Timeless was a special historical treat. It was imaginative, and very well written. So sad to see this show go while other crap continues on.
I cannot bare the thought of Timeless finishing now, it had just got great viewing. It deserves at least another season to tie up the story line. I don’t feel that could be done in a two hr film but please don’t leave it like this. Let Rufus be rescued and Lucy find real love
Finally a network series that I really enjoyed watching, especially loved the memory tweaks the great storylines caused. More than once I paused the show so I could look up the history surrounding the story. It’s been great having TV that wouldn’t be embarrassing to view in front of my kids, my parents, anyone. Come on NBC, please say it isn’t cancelled. Get in your time machine and make more Timeless happen!
In my opinion it’s one of the best things on TV today. I love this show and wish you would reconsider cancelling it. It’s free of foul language, drugs and lurid sex scenes a very clean family show. Please bring it back.
It seemed this show was doing very well with ratings and it is a complete shock they are cancelling. I truly enjoyed this show and would love to see it become a movie to help things come to a better ending. there is to many unanswered questions with what happens next to just end the show.
Absolutely enjoyed this show. It holds our undivided attention during the entire program. We have always looked forward to the stories and twist and turns along the way. The love interest just started, Lucy’s mom left her a clue in her dying breath, Rufus dies and needs rescued. How is this not exciting story to renew? It’s not fair to just cut us off at the knees when the underlining story was coming out. 🙁
I am very disappointed and angry that NBC is cancelling this fine show which has such a dedicated fan base. When other programs without the creativity and uniqueness of Timeless are allowed to continue I am at a loss to understand the mindset of your administrators. I will just avoid watching NBC.
I am SO disappointed!!! I love Timeless… I keep re-watching the episodes. It’s a shame the networks don’t allow shows to become more established before they cancel them. There is no other show like this!! We don’t need to make room for more reality tv shows or cop dramas. I could never watch the show live but I always watched on my day off of work. I would love to look forward a Season 3 but hope to at least see the movie. #savetimeless #clockblockers
I think it’s an amazing show that should be renewed!! At the very least give us the 2 or 4 hour movie to officially close the timeless series. It’s not fair that the networks want people to watch their shows only to cancel them quickly and without the courtesy of proper closure. If that’s the way they want to do it, then only introduce shows that ONLY have 10 -12 episodes then they end.
