Travelers has some new company. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Enrico Colantoni (pictured, left), Stephen Lobo, and Amanda Tapping (pictured, right) have joined season two of the science fiction series.
The sci-fi drama follows a team of time-traveling operatives who are sent back into the bodies of 21st century individuals in order to prevent the collapse of society. The cast includes Eric McCormack, Jared Abrahamson, Nesta Cooper, Reilly Dolman, Patrick Gilmore, and MacKenzie Porter. Canadian network Showcase and Netflix have already renewed the series for a second season.
Colantoni has been cast as “Vincent, a mysterious individual who may or may not be a friend of the travelers, and will star opposite lead Eric McCormack.” Neither Lobo nor Tapping’s roles have been revealed, but Tapping is set to direct multiple episodes for season two.
The new season of Travelers is slated to debut later this year.

Not sure what this means for Travelers Season 2, but Eric McCormack is scheduled for a Will & Grace reboot.

I really like this show. I love how they explain how a person can travel through time. My parents and I are excited for the new adventure. My parents and I will definitely be watching the second season.

Solid creative fresh sci-fi plot.
Am in the middle of a season 1 binge and will DEFINITELY watch season 2
Travelers Season 2 is a welcome addition to the Netflix lineup. I truly enjoyed season 1. It will be great to see both Amanda Tapping and Enrico Colantoni back on TV again. The last time we saw Enrico Colantoni was in “Person of Interest.” The last time I saw Amanda Tapping was in “Sanctuary.” Both are fine actors and actresses. It will be nice to see how they add to and change the face of Travelers. I do not know who Stephen Lobo is, so I cannot comment on him. Looking forward to Travelers Season 2.
Don’t you watch any other Canadian sci-fi/fantasy programming? Or those which are set in America but are actually produced in Vancouver??
Just binged watched season 1 and facebooked how much I LOVED IT!! can’t wait for season 2! Huge Amanda Tapping fan! She will be fabulous addition to the the already stellar cast! Saw her name in the credits already and knew her handy work! Such a talent! Netflix needs to up their advertising on this hidden gem!!
