The Voice aired the first part of its live season finale tonight on NBC, and the series will see new faces on the mentor panel in the fall.
Adam Levine has been there since the start of series, and he spoke about the way The Voice has managed to stay on the air in an interview with TV Insider. The singer admits that he didn’t have much faith that The Voice would last when it premiered.
He said the following:
“I wasn’t sure it was going to get past one season! I didn’t have any idea I was making a really smart choice. (Laughs) Signing on was something that I considered for a long time and wasn’t totally sure about, not even after I made the choice. But I was like, “It’ll be something new and different for me. Maybe it won’t work, but f— it, let’s just go for it.” And then, boom! All this happened.”
Levine also revealed that he still loves being on the series and mentoring new artists. Does he think he will win this season? Not a chance. He fully thinks Christina Aguilera has this season won.
Next season, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys will join the panel. Are you a fan of The Voice? Do you plan to continue watching? Tell us what you think.
