A Hallmark Channel drama series, When Calls the Heart stars Erin Krakow, Jack Wagner, Pascale Hutton, Kavan Smith, Paul Greene, Andrea Brooks, Chris McNally, and Kevin McGarry. Others in the cast include Andrea Brooks, Martin Cummins, Aren Buchholz, Eva Bourne, Loretta Walsh, Kayla Wallace, Johannah Newmarch, Teryl Rothery, Hrothgar Mathews, Ben Rosenbaum, Jaeda Lily Miller, Donovan Stinson, Jonathan Purvis, Gracyn Shinyei, Kadence Roach, Christian Michael Cooper, Gunnar Taylor, and Lincoln Taylor. Inspired by the Janette Oke novel, the TV series follows Elizabeth Thatcher (Krakow), a young teacher from a high society background. She’s assigned to teach in a coal country classroom and it’s a life-changing experience. Now a widow and single mother, Elizabeth faces new challenges but has the support of her surrogate town family, including mysterious gambler Lucas Bouchard (McNally) and Mountie Nathan Grant (McGarry). In season eight, Elizabeth’s relationships with Nathan and Lucas continue to deepen, Faith (Brooks) and Carson (Greene) must make choices about their future, a new family arrives in town, Lee (Smith) and Rosemary (Hutton) get some unexpected news, Bill (Wagner) is asked to return a prized possession and the whole town joins in the excitement as another wedding takes place.

I love when calls the heart, it’s so nice to watch a show that is good and wholesome. The actors are great .
Awesome show with lots of talented actors! The show invites all us to clear ours mines of daily activities and worries and enjoy the simple lives of each character . The show is God given to those of us who long for the simplicities of life. Season 9 would be a lifeline to us “hearties” and new viewers !
I love when calls the heart so much, I let go of all my worries for a while when I watch it. Please renew it for season 9, I’ll be so sad if it’s not
Love the show but they need to find Elizabeth someone with same chemistry as Daniel Lissing. These actors are good but they don’t have the that spark. It’s lacking.

We need to keep this show. We watch you because of so many ridiculous reality TV shows. When calls the heart is a great show. When is the “spin off” of this show returning?? That one is wonderful too.
I absolutely love When Calls the Heart and When Hope Call and look forward to more. It’s a nice to sit and watch a show with the family devoid of sex, violence and vulgarity. Please renew for a new season!

I love both When Calls the Heart and When Hope Calls series. They are family friendly and very well done. Please keep them both coming. We need more shows that eliminate vulgarity, killing and blatant sex. Thank you for keeping TV safe for families!!!
