It’s nearly time to return to Hope Valley. Hallmark Channel has announced that When Calls the Heart will return on Sunday, February 23rd, at 8:00 PM.
The characters were last seen on Christmas for the When Calls the Heart: Home for Christmas movie. Compared to the previous season’s feature, it was down by 29% in the 18-49 demographic and down by 19% in overall viewers.

Buoyed by a legion of devoted fans, the Hearties, “When Calls the Heart” continues to grow in popularity and in the ratings.
In the Season Seven premiere, titled “A Moving Picture,” Lucas gives Elizabeth writing advice that causes her to search for new inspiration. Rosemary and Lee plan a vacation. Faith returns home with a dilemma that may force her to part ways from Carson. Gowen is interviewed for a business magazine.

I think it is time to move onto a new generation and phase out the existing cast. Too many important people to the original story now gone which has pretty well ruined it for me.

I love this series dezpite Jacks sudden departure. I hope there is a season 8.
If you don’t have the Hallmark channel you have to wait to see it and it took forever for it to be available through Amazon Prime this year. They waste a lot of your time trying to find it when the season starts up again. I buy the whole season on Amazon Prime every year. The Christmas premier wasn’t available as quickly for other viewers as it was last year so it probably messed with the demographics. I was really frustrated and nearly gave it up.
I want it to continue for a few more years. I love the show and characters.
I love when calls the heart and look for to its return.
It is the only TV show I watch faithfully. I only wish there were MORE episodes. It has a perfect balance of humor, romance and drama. A breath of fresh air in the sick, violent and twisted world we live in. Once a week I can take a vacation back to a simpler time. Please keep the show on.
Yes i think it should continue. ..WITH THE ORIGINAL CAST. Get Jack back, forgive Lori cause JESUS would and please let Rosemary have twins at least. Bill is great and the doc and Faith. Maybe even Henry could find a good woman but not Bill”s ex. Keep up the good work and looking forward to season 11
I hope this series is renewed for years to come. It is one of the most enjoyable family shows available these days. I’ll watch as long as they keep producing it. As a side note, the supposed drop in viewers for the Christmas special, may just have been the reality it was shown on Christmas Day…not really a fair assessment. I’m hoping the new season will show an upward trend in viewership. I personally would also like a longer season. Seems to be only about 6 episodes and then it’s gone again. I agree it being shown on Christmas Day could have hurt reviews. It was not advertised and promoted. I thank my Joey DVR for recording it. I love the show and never miss an episode.
I agree it has been too long between seasons.
I will be able to watch it when/if it makes it to Netflix.
Looking forward to the return of this series, it’s so wonderful, clean, no violence. It is totally my favorite. I am a hallmark fan everyday.
