A spy drama with a screwball comedy bent, Whiskey Cavalier stars Scott Foley, Lauren Cohan, Ana Ortiz, Tyler James Williams, Vir Das, and Josh Hopkins. The series centers on FBI Agent Will Chase (Foley), codename: “Whiskey Cavalier” and CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (Cohan), codename: “Fiery Tribune.” Although they start off as rivals, they’re soon assigned to a joint-agency task force to root out corruption and crime and save the world.
Airing on Wednesday nights, the first season of Whiskey Cavalier is averaging a 0.59 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.47 million viewers.
Out of the 21 scripted ABC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, Whiskey Cavalier is in 18th place in the demo and 13th place in total viewership.
The decision to renew or cancel Whiskey Cavalier reportedly came down to the wire. Word is that Warner Bros TV will be shopping season two to other outlets so there is some small hope that the series will survive.

I really liked Whiskey Cavalier. I thought the chemistry was awesome with the cast. Fantastic cast. I’m sorry to see it cancelled. I wish Network’s would give shows more chances to develop and pick up more viewers. Even trying a different nite, etc. Very disappointed it was cancelled!!!

This is the first I read about it being shopped. Nobody else has said that(that I heard or read). I feel bad for Lauren Cohan. She left The Walking Dead for one season of this low rated call it what you want? I guess if Blindspot, with its awful live ratings, could get 13 more episodes, this getting another 13 wasn’t out of the realm of possibility.
I love whiskey cavalier! It is funny and entertaining! I love Scott and the combination of characters.
I can’t even believe this is being cancelled. I look forward to this every week.

Whiskey Cavalier is entertaining, good writing , good plots, great casting, good comedy, good chemistry between cast. Why ?? It’s so frustrating to get I to the show, look forward to viewing the I interesting places, and now cancelled. Disappointing !

I love this show and hope it finds a new home. I will definitely be keeping up with what’s going on and will follow wherever it goes. Shows like this are so hard to find and it suffered from a terrible time slot. Fingers crossed!!!!
This was one of the only shows I watched on ABC.
Best comedy,drama, action! I would gladly watch several more seasons of this show. Hopefully a smarter network can see the potential and bring it back.
Loved this show. Cast, wtiting everything about it. Remember Moonlighting. Same category. Really great show. Love the tension between both stars. And support cast was also outstanding.

My husband and I love Whiskey Cavalier. It is a fun, interesting show with characters that are already fleshing out to be fascinating, vulnerable people. My husband and I may be just outside of the “desired” demographic (51, 55) but we watch and are influenced by ads aired during the show (that is what it’s about, after all.) Some of our friends that we have turned on to the show, as well as my son and daughter (31, 26) are going to be just as bummed to hear that ABC has decided to give up on Whiskey Cavelier prematurely.
