A spy drama with a screwball comedy bent, Whiskey Cavalier stars Scott Foley, Lauren Cohan, Ana Ortiz, Tyler James Williams, Vir Das, and Josh Hopkins. The series centers on FBI Agent Will Chase (Foley), codename: “Whiskey Cavalier” and CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (Cohan), codename: “Fiery Tribune.” Although they start off as rivals, they’re soon assigned to a joint-agency task force to root out corruption and crime and save the world.
Airing on Wednesday nights, the first season of Whiskey Cavalier is averaging a 0.59 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.47 million viewers.
Out of the 21 scripted ABC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, Whiskey Cavalier is in 18th place in the demo and 13th place in total viewership.
The decision to renew or cancel Whiskey Cavalier reportedly came down to the wire. Word is that Warner Bros TV will be shopping season two to other outlets so there is some small hope that the series will survive.

We have absolutely loved Whiskey Cavalier’s season 1. We have told several friends and relatives that it is our favorite. We will look for this to renew and follow this show wherever it goes.
Husband and I loved Whiskey Cavalier. Loved the humor, edginess and drama. Even wrote to ABC (before I found out they were cancelling) letting them know how much we enjoyed this new series. Very bummed and disappointed. Hopeful another “smarter” network picks this series up.
I enjoyed Whiskey Cavalier and would like to see it renewed for a second season. I liked the lightness of the show. Kind of a cross between “Get Smart” and “James Bond”. Nice to have something lighter since there is so much dark or politically motivated shows on today.

Yes we would definitely watch season 2 of whiskey cavalier. It was like a modern day mission impossible.
I am hoping Netflix pick up this show and hopefully Ayra Stark sailing west that is a Series Gold Mine.
This is one of the best shows on TV. It was a nice twist to watch an FBI show with a slight humorous twist and I love Scott Foley. Why do they leave the dumb shows and cancel the good ones.
This was the only show on ABC that my husband and I watched! I am disappointed that it will not be back, hopefully another network will pick it up.
This will be the last show I watch on ABC! They always keep lame boring sitcoms and game shows. But when a lite funny action series worth watching comes out it’s cxld after one season.
This is the best new show ABC had put this year and I’m so disappointed it’s cancelled. Guess we need MORE ridiculous game shows right?
Maybe some of the show was a bit corny, but, hey it it was also comedy, right? I think they played the corniness quite well, actually. I found myself drawn into the characters and enjoyed their banter and team building along with it. It was just fun. Quite disappointed that ABC canceled it and really hope some other outlet will pick it up and run with it!
The show started a little weak but finished great. The finale left me wanting more . The characters developed and it became a show I looked forward to watching. I hope it comes back next season.
