It seems that the end is near for the Younger TV show. According to one of the show’s actors, there won’t be an eighth season of the TV Land series.
A romantic comedy, Younger stars Sutton Foster, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Hilary Duff, Molly Bernard, Peter Hermann, and Charles Michael Davis. The story centers on single mother Liza Miller (Foster) who passes herself off as a 20-something, to land a job in the publishing industry. As Liza’s personal and professional lives mesh, keeping her secret becomes more difficult. This season finds Kelsey (Duff) growing into her position as publisher at Millennial Print. Meanwhile, Liza and Charles (Hermann) are finding their footing, now that he no longer runs the business.
The sixth season of Younger averaged a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 580,000 viewers. Compared to season five, that’s down by 39% and 14%, respectively. Season six finished airing in September 2019.
Younger was renewed for a seventh season in July 2019 and, according to Duff, that will be the end of the show. In a recent interview, Duff shared,
It has been tough because I’m supposed to be in New York right now filming last season, and we have been on hold for quite a few months. Things are starting to shoot in New York and open back up again. I think production is feeling confident that in the next month or two we can get back to our schedule and shoot our last season.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, Huff says that the cast hasn’t been able to read scripts for the final episodes. The actress is confident that series creator Darren Starr will deliver a satisfying ending. She said,
He writes amazing (scripts) for women and we feel so empowered to be on the show and to be playing the women that we are playing. They’re all very different, but with very strong and flawed qualities — so I’m sure this last season will not disappoint.
While Younger may be coming to an end, a spin-off that revolves around Duff’s character is in the works.

Obsessed with this show. I am 52 and it’s my favorite. All of my friends 35-55 who know it also love it. But I have sooooo many friends who have never heard of it. Need better promoting!!!!
I absolutely love this show!! I have really enjoyed all the seasons and would love for it to continue! I would hate to see it end

Hopefully last episode will be Charles and Liza will end up together. Like the sex in the city were Mr big with Sarah Jessica.
I love the show from the very beginning and have actually learned a few things that Liza was learning but then again I just turned 61. I miss the show! Even watched a few reruns to get my fix.

I would love to see more seasons!!! I love all the characters. I just recently discovered this series and binge watched it. Would watch a spin off too.
I would NOT watch a spin off@ all b/ c I love love love this original series. Younger has been such a part of me& I’m almost to the 40mark& can relate to Lisa a lot,trying to keep up with the younger &working crowds! Please do not end this show please! I will watch an 8th,9th,etc forever! Again& I will NOT watch a spin off, it wouldn’t be the same or make sense.
Younger is a great show ! I would love for it to continue… I’d rather watch more seasons of Younger than a spin off of Kelsey … please keep it going !
I absolutely love Younger and want a Season 8. I love all the actors and the strong women, and men, they play. I am so invested so will be very sad when it ends. I will definitely watch a spin off.

I also watch to see Liza and Josh.. I love this show!!!! We all need light fun dramas not heavy stressful shows.. we all need shows like this more than ever with the stress in the world right now. I wish it would not end.
I love Younger but mostly for Sutton and Nico. The rest of the cast is really good but they really revolve around the two central characters. I will be sad when it ends and we say goodbye to them. Sutton is a great Broadway star but she is such a breath of fresh air she could be as great of a tv star as she desires. I suppose we should just be happy we had her for seven years.
I watch the show to see Liza and Josh not Kelsey. If this is the last season she needs to end up with Josh and not Charles and no I would not watch a Kelsey spin-off.
Yes I agree, the show is definitely about Lisa,not Kelsey, I never watch for Kelsey& wouldn’t watch a show about Kelsey. Why start something new when this is doing great already right?
