Better late than never……I have watched Sanctuary on tv a bunch of times and have been watching the series on line as well when I can and I just absolutely LOVE the show. It is a shame that it had to be cancelled. A wonderful and amazing cast and crew. I do hope in the future there will be more adventures of Sanctuary to watch. I miss it terribly. Wonderful show.

I know I’m late to the party but I will add my 2 cents anyways. I am a fan of the Stargate shows as well as Sanctuary. Not an “uber-fan” like some of the people I see at the comic expo dressed up in Stargate uniforms but I do enjoy them allot.
It saddened me to know that Sanctuary was cut from SyFy’s lineup not because the team behind the show didn’t apply in time but SyFy wouldn’t (or couldn’t) invest in another season as they were helping to bankroll the production somehow.
If Tim Russ and Renegade Studios can successfully run a kickstarter campaign for a new Star Trek web series to be picked up by NBC then maybe Amanda Tapping and Company should look into something similar.
I know most of the scenes in Sanctuary are green screen work with environments and monsters added digitally so what kind of costs are we talking about per episode?
I know if I could pitch in $1000 or more I would do so in a heartbeat to help get the series back on its’ feet. Get a bunch of others to pitch in anywhere from $250-$10,000 or more and you could have a good chunk of production costs covered.
Just my thoughts anyways.

In the words of Dr Helen Magnus “BLOODY HELL!” I know I am a bit behind in my shock over this, I cannot believe that another fantastic show/series has been cancelled. I have just bought all four seasons of Sanctuary and was looking forward to further seasons. Will keep all my fingers crossed and hope that one day, maybe Sanctuary will return. Thank you to all the Cast and Crew for such a fantastic show.

I’m so disappointed. It just seems like every time something really amazing sci fi is produced it gets cancelled – just when one allows ones self to become invested in the characters. :(

Rats. S&$t! F%*k! Multiple expletives multiple times! The thing with SyFy is, starting with the name change from Sci-Fi, they have steadily gone downhill. I mean, what is wrestling doing on a channel that is supposed to champion and feature science fiction and fantasy, anyway??? Every series I get interested in and start recording on my DVR’s gets cancelled. I’m not talking about crap either: Farscape! Stargate SG-1! Stargate Atlantis! Stargate Universe! Eureka! I await the day when this channel does away with science fiction and fantasy altogether. Maybe they become all-wrestling! Or all pretend reality series! Awww, nuts! Beam me the f@#k up, Scotty.

I’m really going to miss Sanctuary. I only hope that that Amanda Tapping, Martin Wood, Peter Deluise, the rest of the Stargate team, and all the other great talent on Sanctuary will soon be reincarnated in an even better series. Having said that, they raise the bar on thoughtful TV and I keep thinking this is as good as it gets, but that isn’t the case. Keep on trucking dudes and dudettes, you totally rock!

Another truly intelligent, funny and thought provoking series falls to the pursuit of the almighty dollar. Just what the world needs is another dose of “fake reality” TV or pro-wrestling. The TV networks just keep try make the general public dumber. Guess the people who like intelligent series will just watch our old favorites on DVD.

This is bad news!!! I was thinking the other day about when the show would start up again and realized that it had passed time for it to start. It makes me mad that the only scifi shows on now are about vampires or werewolves. I like this show because it showed the monsters in a better light than bad.
I hope that the scifi channel will replace it with something equally amazing..

Thank you scifi, I live for this channel.

I love Amanda Tapping in everything she starred in, but especially Sanctuary…it was obvious to me that she poured creativity and the essence of her soul into this series!
…she was great is SG1 but I felt they held her back, esp in showing her outer beauty…she is one of the most lovely ladies in the stardom world…inside and out…I feel blessed to have seen her show the wonderous depth of her personality in Sanctuary…frankly I am very disappointed in Syfy’s decision to end Santuary…that last scene was beguiling…I would also like to say that Syfy in general is rolling downhill for my tastes…with SGU cancelled and left on a cliff hanger my heart aches for at least a final conclusion as done for SG1 and Stargate Atlantis…Thank you for listening!

I loved Sautuary. It was the best series I would DVR. Why was it cancelled?

Really sad to see Sanctuary go. It explored some wonderful issues … too bad it didn’t have time to show us how to solve them. A soft landing with the potential for more to come someday.
