Get ready for a lot more Star Trek. Entertainment Weekly reports a set of companion books and comics are in the works for CBS All Access’ upcoming series Star Trek: Discovery.
Recently, showrunner Bryan Fuller revealed the new show will feature a female lead, a gay character, and possibly Spock’s mother.
Writer and producer Kirsten Beyer also revealed that the Star Trek: Discovery team is working with Simon & Schuster and IDW Publishing for a set of companion books and comics. Beyer said she’ll be contributing to the publications alongside David Mack and Mike Johnson.
Release dates for the books and comics have not yet been released, but Star Trek: Discovery is slated to premiere this January.
What do you think? Are you a Star Trek fan? Will you read the companion books and comics?
