Deadline reports the Bad Wolf production company is adapting Deborah Harkness’ novel, A Discovery of Witches as a TV series. This is the first volume of the All Souls historical fantasy trilogy.
According to the report, Life On Mars’ Ashley Pharoah will adapt the story for TV, with Harkness writing several episodes. A Discovery of Witches was first published February 8, 2011. The other two volumes in the All Souls Trilogy, Shadow Of Night and The Book of Life, were published in 2012 and 2014, respectively.
Here is how Deadline describes the story:
It’s the story of Diana Bishop, a young scholar at Oxford who is a descendant of the Salem witches. When she accidentally unlocks an enchanted manuscript, she is compelled to embrace the magic in her blood and enters a forbidden romance with charming 1,500-year-old vampire Matthew Clairmont.
Bad Wolf is the product of a partnership between Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner. Both women came to Los Angeles via the BBC. Gardner has executive produced US shows including Torchwood: Miracle Day and Da Vinci’s Demons both for Starz.

I enjoyed two of the books, have not read the third as yet. I think it would make a great show.
This sounds like something to tune in to. Yes, I’ll give it a try.
Sounds like something I would really like. Hope it is shown in the near future. I think Starz should show it. They always have great shows. I haven’t read the books, but will probably do so now.
Sounds intriguing, I look forward to it’s development and emergence of the pilot, good luck …
